The controller is 24V 500W but I think the 350W motor at 24V should be enough. Online power calculators help. The electronics may stand 36V but it is not worth it at the moment. The low volt cutout is 20+/-.5V. I am running 2ea 12V LED tail lights in series off the main switch and batteries. I may just strap on a flashlight for the headlight unless I find some suitable small 24V LED light.

I want in. I've been thinking more about ebikes/trikes for 2 purposes. Personal use on bike trails (Rails to Trails?) where my knees won't allow extended rides. No problem doing same speed as pedal pushers. Public for sale trike use on streets and bike trails, not busy roads, for (retired? like me) to use with basket(s) for routine trips to the food, drug, PO, library, and Active Adult (hook up) Center-actually county sponsored. Recumbent is best if equiped with high mount blinking safety light and flag, but would probably scare off people. A lower than normal seat might be the most acceptably comfortable. I'm picking on retired so a couple would have an easier decision to get rid of a second car with its attendent taxes, insurance and upkeep costs. All thoughts welcome.

How many tons does that thing weigh milly ?
I did check the power draw on my tail lights, 0.038A at 24V (0.8W). I did find a suitable headlight that works surprisingly well.

Classed as a moped then. Could have a lot of fun on those on some green lanes.

Weight: 65kg (130#), not bad but still heavy.
Did I read it correctly that they are off-road only?

So, I ended up getting a 1000watt conversion kit and installed it on my 29" Mongoose.
WOW ! Daddy like.
I can hit 60kph on this thing. That's faster than some 50cc scoots.
I especially like the quiet power. Lately I've been riding it more than my last remaining scooter (I once had 5) Still have and occasionally ride the 150.
Anyway, it's a shame politicians seem hell bent on being our nannies. The UK is awful. California and NewYork enforce those kinds of laws too. But Texas, Florida and some other US states don't seem to be as restrictive.
I haven't had anyone in law enforcement say anything about mine, but then I faux peddle when going fast just in case. haha!
I should post a pic of my ebike. It's pretty special and is decked out pretty good.
