Nice documentation and pictures. Make sure to post a video of it running later.

Nice work I hope its easy to tune, just my on the picture of the cyl fit there appears to be gap between the piston pin and clip, those clips have cost me dearly on my builds. Geoff

Yes I can try, the piston pin should be locked in between the clips with no side to side movement IMO ,if you have a mismatched piston/pin/clips and bearing its going to fail, but I've been wrong before, just ask my wife Geoff

Hold the phone You did all that work for something you weren’t sure was electrically sound? Best to maintain course and speed.

Nice build this is gonna rip it up A Corsa paired with shortcase should have wheelie power all day long.
finished prada
Parts list

• Top Performance seals
• Top Performance Variator
(16x13mm 8gram rollers)
• S23 Intake w/ fiberglass reeds
• 788m belt
• Polini 70cc Corsa cylinder
(10mm wristpin)
(exhaust port polished)
(.55mm squish clearance)
• CP 21mm Polini carb (single throttle cable)
(100 main jet, 40 pilot, 14/22 needle, 2.7° nozzle bush, no airbrake)
• Tortellini carb to stock box adapter
• Malossi yellow Contra spring (12k rpm?)
• Motoforce CDI
• yamaha brake pads
• Kenda 90/90-10 tires w/ cheesy oil marker paint
• skf wheel bearings
• Naraku stator coil
•HONDABOND
• yw50 magneto(couldn't find a cw50, it'll be fine..I hope? lmk?)
stock exhaust.
so, firstly, I bought all zuma parts for this build. which means that I bought the wrong crank and cylinder. which means I needed to change ALL of my parts...to zuma parts... x.x at least the parts fit, I guess; but now I have a Malossi cylinder kit that I cannot use.
Don't be me, make sure you order the right stuff. shoutout to everyone at the scooty swaparino shop; thanks for answering all my shitty questions
here's our boi
pressing the crank in
Barely any Clarence. I guess it'll be fine
Cylinder install
No crazy porting, just a grind and polish
carb and intake hondabonded for reasons unknown
I CNC'd my starter gear clutch about 2mm down so that I could keep the gear on... but I'm pretty sure I will find on the first test ride that the variator being pushed a half mill out might not be what it wants to do.
I guess I will find out, and machine accordingly; or just ditch the electric start completely and mill a block off plate. Probably should've just ditched the electric start...
will updoot when I drop the motor in

Stock exhaust sucks!!!

the exhaust in his picture with the Kenda 90/90-10 tire is the same "stock exhaust" that came on my used Ningbo GTX chinarelli. it slowly got up up to full speed, 27mph. i swapped it out with a used V8 that i had laying around and now it gets up to 38mph. the whole bike is stock except for the V8 pipe. it's pretty neat how much a half wave pipe makes a difference over stock, no other mods.
tis indeed, "Stock exhaust sucks".

BUT IT STILL WENT 48MPH D: lmao. I agree stock exhaust sucks. maybe I will go performance. idk. I'm also thinking about just takin the baffle out the mooflar. but a performance pipe would look sick, BUT it also makes it to where parking this thing on the street hits my anxiety a little harder, as it is pretty sleeper lookin.
roger that, i get it with "sleeper lookin" and parking on the street. V8 pipes can pass for stock to the unfamiliar eye, as well as other brands of half wave exhausts.

ghostaroni i did a quick g00gle search and didnt see the V8's with plastic heat shields. but there is always the hardware store that sells high temp flat black spray paint for that "stock" look. half wave exhaust look very similar to "stock" exhaust, they look nothing like chamber pipes. brand new one. used refinished one.

I'll just start carrying 3/8" chains on me for parking (: instead of the 1/4" stainless steel cord that I am using now. cause the pipes look way too good unpainted.

ghostaroni nice pipe! i'm happy for you. you is about to go down the rabbit hole my friend. you just took the red pill by buying that Yasuni. i hear you on the 8k revs for your "rings to seat nicely". i'm one of those guys that just go with the "hard" break in. one of the tuners at a former shop told me he always did hard break ins, so i just go with that. he built some of the fastest minarelli bikes in Honolulu so i trust him. no forget, you gonna have to tune the CVT and probably some carb jetting. you might want to look into some parts: Main Jet kit (and Pilot Jet kit) Tuning Roller set stiffer clutch springs **(or an adjustable clutch)** !!!!Get a Temp Gauge!!!! and if you can afford one, a Tachometer. i use the tach to tune CVT. i use temp to tune my carb.

good times around the bend! what is your opinion on what roller weight i'm looking for? I didn't get a chance to ride yet, but right now I am on 7gram rollers. I have 5.5gram sliders on hand, but it lowered my top speed when I had the stock exhaust on. Hard to say a specific weight. Those 5.5 sliders might work out well. It depends on variables such as bore/pipe, clutch engagement, carb tune, and contrast spring. That is the reason i listed a Tuning Roller kit, to get you in the ball park of the shift performance you seek. The way i see it, rollers are to set the rpm at which your variator "shifts". Too light, ,you over shoot your bore/pipe powerband. Too heavy, the variator starts shifting at lower rpm before the engine starts making power. Contrast spring will have an effect on roller weight. The way i look at it, stiffer spring makes accelerating out of turns and hill climbing better at the expence of rollers flat spotting and belts wearing faster. Also the heat that builds up in the cvt when using stiff contra. It's a balance.
