Thought ride didn't feel right after doing the headstock bearings and changing shock on front. Finally checked it tonight on axle stands and front felt ok, tyre looked good so checked engine bushes and all good then wobbled back wheel which has play in it I looked forward whilst sprawled on the ground and noticed the front tyre looked like a thrupenny bit. Next job tyre, rear wheel off and indicator panel light bulb in no particular order.

That's strange. Wonder what caused that, perhaps laid up for a long time in one spot?

Oh well time to swop out the wheel from the 50cc engine I got as splines are worn on other wheel.

Well that's good even the tyres not perished so can go straight on if holds air. It's a Continental Twist if they any good off a old Piaggio Typhoon engine.

Well time to change rear hub bearing and seal as garage closed for a week and got use of ramp. Bearing and seal ordered but tomorrow will be spent looking for a shim I blew away with the airline whilst blowing muck out. Could be anywhere and i am renowned for being blind as a bat looking for stuff i have dropped and no mechanic there who usually finds stuff I be looking for ☹️

Do you know what size the shim is? Tell me about looking for stuff. Spent a day and a half rebuilding the typhoon. Probably spent two hours looking for parts, or the tool I just used. 😂

Well that started fine, bearing pulled in ok then I couldn't find one of the gear pinions. Lost after having to clear the ramp quickly the other night. Got a spare at home from a leader engine will check see if it meshes ok with the drive shaft pinion tomorrow and hunt afresh. Damn.

Boo hoo! Parts arrive and the wrong output shaft. Shaft end diameter in case is 16mm and mine 15mm which fits ok but gears don't mesh properly. Time to dredge the canyons of my mind to work out where I put the original damn reduction gear. The left hand shaft which is theirs even looks different maybe a leader engine one
