did you get that front fork from Ali express or such? I have been looking at some similar but the cheapest I found em for was around 100 , what did you pay? and how was quality?

Hey what is the diameter of the inner fork legs of those JISO legs?
Might be a nice upgrade for my axis.

Are you asking for the axle diameter or the diameter of the tube that gets inserted into the tree? The 2nd one, the forks inner legs. Like you said the part that inserts into the tree. For reference, the axis has 26mm diameter inner legs. Would be nice if those JISO legs are also 26mm. |

I am finally getting around to scooters again but first some shop upgrades! My day job is being a Systems and Network engineer. One of the offices I was recabling had a bunch of 1990s computer peripherals. I scored a very retro set of computer speakers for my shop! I have been eyeballing some larger monitors I could swipe and replace my small monitor I currently use as a TV but no dice yet. The speaker I was using was an old Bose speaker. The left speaker had long since died, it made listening to Brent talk shop much in my shop much harder to do!  Heres the new hifi.   I was having constant fueling problems with my 120cc stroker motor. I just could not get my fuel pump to put out enough fuel to keep the SmartCarb fed. I do have an underseat fuel tank but I dont want to giveup my underseat storage. I decided to go a pretty different direction and I really wanted to use my Redmole Hyper 2 pipe. I ended up building a sort of dream motor build of mine. Malossi Cast bore, Malossi MHR crank, Stage 6 intake, JISO CVT Kit, Stock ignition, Malossi CDI, 24mm PWK (To be replaced with a 21mm Polini CP), PWK Airbox, Redmole Hyper 2 pipe and maybe oil injection. I put together the motor a few days ago and bolted it up with oil injection enabled. Im nervous ill blow some bearings or toast my bore so I may swap back to premix. I am still running my JISO suspension but unfortunately I wont be able to run my aftermarket wheels. They are too wide for my pipe and rub the rear of the silencer tree. I have new Michelin tires on some OEM Honda wheels that I am going to strip and paint white. For now they are just bolted up to keep it as a roller. The PWK Airbox is pretty interesting. A buddy from Hawaii said its a modified DD50 airbox. It fits really well on PWK carbs. I tried it on three different carbs and it fits up really well, the mounting holes even line up on the AF18 cases with no clearance problems.     Let me know what you guys think about running the OEM oil injection setup over premix. |

Let me know what you guys think about running the OEM oil injection setup over premix. I'd replace the pump with a new and OEM Honda one and run Motul 710. Does the pump have a throttle or is it sloley rpm driven? If it has a throttle you could dial it up a little. Btw did you manage to measure up those fork's inner legs? |

I know it’s apples to oranges but I run the stock pump on my Zuma 70. Did for over a year with a top performance kit & now about 6 months with a s6 street race. I personally would never want premix on something I ride on the street. I want to be able to fill up at the pump. I do believe in running good oil however.

Didn't measure em yet but I will next chance I get. I am currently using an OEM Honda pump. It does have a throttle attachment. I was considering lock-wiring or zip-tying the pumps valve wide open for maximum oiling. I filled up the reservoir with some Motul 710, its been my go-go for some time. I liked how I could mix up 5 gallons of premix with 710 and the oil never fell out if solution. |

good Lawd! that's some dedication for an air box that is still tuned for stock (49cc) SYM DD50 engine.

Do you think its worth opening up the airbox inlet? Right now it is defiantly restrictive compared to no filter. Of course no filter is going to be the very best option available in terms of performance but I think the airbox could maybe benefit from some cutting. Any ideas on how to open her up? |
