Did a small 10 mile ride around the neighborhood yesterday with another rider. Topped out at 330 degree CHT 9040 max rpm 100 degree ambient temp. 90mj I think I'm at a safe state of tune for the summer. Now time to apply sunscreen and put some miles on it.  |

Excellent! I need to get it idling right however. I like to rev it to keep it from bogging at stoplights but if I don't, it'll idle low and die out. Not terrible to live with as is. My friend rides a 100cc 4t. I get him off the line but after 45mph he starts to walk away from me. I wish they made an upgear kit for the zx. I like cruising at 9k rpm. I think having a street scoot that lives at 10k+ rpm won't be fun for long rides. Do the zx50 builds that do 60-70 have different gears or are they just revving out more? |

I am not sure about this one. AF18E upgear kits are cheap from AliExpress. Just get the TWH branded ones. Buy a set of them and see if it will fit. If you pay for shipping I might have some stock gears I could send your way. |

While the AF16 and the Kymco ZX50 (SC10) motor are very similar to each other, the similarity ends when it comes to the gearbox, they are completely different. There are tons of gearing options for the AF16, but hardly anything that I have found for the Kymco ZX50. Stock Kymco gearing is 10.65 which is not bad at all. Malossi makes a primary gear kit that will give you a final of 6.92 which is just too tall IMO. Be kind to your stock Kymco gears, replacements are very hard to come by.
