Hello. Grateful to be here. I don't do social media and finding quality forums is hard these days.
I own a 2015 Honda Ruckus.
Current need to know setup is:
Pollini Variator w/ 5.5g Dr. Pulley Sliders
Gates Belt
NCY Driveface
Airbox Delete w/5" length hose cut at 45 degree for intake (TRS Kit)
Yoshi Exhaust
Scooter Swap Shop Performance Carb for Honda Ruckus with Slow Jet (33?? came with and seems to do ok...) and Main Jet at 80.
Just installed NCY CDI today and been testing things out a bit.
Trailtech Vapor (currently set to PPR 2).
Looking to get higher top end and performance overall which seems to me I should go with the EVI (discovered it existed a couple days too late lol). However, what's the bang for the buck as it's quite a bit more than the CDI I currently have installed.
I'm 200-205lbs. Live in Pacific Northwest. Altitude is around 200'
Today I got it up to 40-45 with relative ease on flats.
Small hills going up, I was able to go between 30-35.
Downhill spots I got to 48.5, but it wasn't THAT big of a hill and I think I could have easily hit 50+ should I have kept going (Although I've never been a fan of measuring how fast a bike can go by it's downhill speed).
Tach is not consistently reading things right now. It was set to PPR 1 prior to installing the CDI. I was getting accurate reads then and hitting rev limiter. When I installed CDI, Tach would read RPM's north of 12k+ almost as soon as i took off. I changed the PPR to 2 (cut's RPM reading in half on my tach) and it seems to be reading it accurate up to about 8500 RPM. Then when I hit 43..44..45 the tach drops to like 5k RPM but my engine is still running full steam ahead. Then it's bouncing around.
Anyway, looking for feedback on the EVI vs NCY CDI and any suggestions on my Tach readings. I'll mess around with my loops to see if that's causing an issues as well.
Cheers!
