New equipment is also hard to find due to COVID and the all mighty powerful EPA . A perfect storm situation is brewing in the HVAC industry, it's going to really suck for many people. |

Covid, China, and WWIII, screwing things up everywhere.
Lots of things everywhere going to Hell.

A light breeze and scattered clouds here in the north of UK so a t shirt then later a cardigan (yep I,m old enough ) . I do not let the media invade my space until 6pm ,so 30 blokes delivering beer meet up at base twice a day and get together for a moan/ chat as we load the vans/trucks . football,rugby,kids,cars lazy bstds ,air shows (Southport this weekend) a surprising addition to the mix  , not one political comment or " news worthy " event mentioned,bliss. I am struggling to grasp the cost of living crisis when I see the lines (yankified ) outside of mcdees and car washes.  From under my rock Geoff |

Tomorrow is my last day in St Thomas USVI. The weather is hot but the breeze is constant. I’m staying at an AirBNB which I’d recommend to any couple coming here. Weather has been 88+/- every day and 80 at night. I’ve seen a few crazy scooter riders, I would not ride a scooter here. The main roads are like a cross between Lombard street in San Francisco and the Monaco GP. Not to mention that driving is on the left in left hand drive vehicles. But anyway, I have 25 hrs left. A lot of the houses here have the rebar sticking up through the concrete roof. They have the option of adding a low pitch roof or just saying nope. It’s a money thing. The flat roof belongs to the landlord of my Airbnb, he is living in the lower level and the second level under the decking is unfinished. They said just the labor to pour and finish the roof was $22,000. They said too often here the walls go up and that’s where the building stops. Owners just can’t afford the next step.

Here in the U.K. our met office is in panic mode and has issued a red alert for next week, temps set to hit 40c or 104f if they are right our roads will melt ! 104c will be a new record high here, bring it on I say  Geoff |
