New member!! Seeking advice on Df50srt and DF50sst.

I have a Df50srt long case qmb139! Was running great but top speed was only 38 mph. I ordered a BBK 69mm valve head all new rockers, CDI coil , spark plug etc. it started up once after installing the kit I felt the new power it had but it wouldn’t go over 22 mph. Found out my valves was loose on intake and exhaust. Got them gapped properly now but scooter WILL NOT start. It will turn on, all the lights work and I can hear the pistol pumping when I’m trying to crank it BUT it will NOT catch !!!!!!! New carburetor with electric choke. I’ve taken it apart I know 8 times Imin the last two weeks and SLOWLY put it back together just to be extra sure everything is correct. I’m at too dead center ( I’ve checked a million times) but it still will not catch. I tried every “starting trick” in the book and I have another DF50sst that the BBK just came in for but I don’t want to install it until I get my other running.

I’ve been silently reading you guy’s messages and taking y’all tips and advice for months but today I created my own account because I REALLY need some serious honest help !!!

These are my bikes.    The top picture is the Df50srt and DF50sst the one to the left is the DF50sst that I just installed a “100cc” BBK on but it will not catch.  It’ll turn on fine and I can hear the piston getting compression but it just want turn all the way over   I’m on TDC ( I’ve checked a million times). New carburetor new CDI coil and cable    I got another BBK for the other scooter in the pic but I don’t want to put it on until I get the other running.  The first dat I installed it. I got it running and I could feel the power difference but it wouldn’t go past 22 mph, I found my valves were loose so I corrected that and every since she haven’t fired up..  yesterday a little bit smoke was coming from exhaust like it was trying to do something but nothing. It’s been 9 days and I have uninstalled and reinstalled EVERYTHING at least 7 times       Anybody plz throw me a bone.   The shop in my area is SHADY !!!! And they over charge and they’ll keep ya bike for weeks.  My brother bike was there for 3 weeks just for a headlight replacement. And I don’t wanna go threw that

I,m not familiar with those scoots/bikes but here,s the bone check your doing the valves correctly,the conversion from metric to imperial has stumped quite a few folks.measure the gap on the running bike and use that.

Have you checked your spark? Have you tried starting using starting fluid in the cylinder?

Also, only do 1 thread.

I got spark and I tried the starting fluid!!! I went back into it today to double triple check that in top dead center. The valve in the exhaust “knocks” when the engine is try to turn over. I went and readjusted it to make sure it’s gapped and tighten and it still has that knock ‘ clicking sound when trying to start it
