Hello, i have a scooter and it has no light under seat storage and when it's dark outside i want to see what's there easily. How you managed that? -First i think for a lamp with a motion sensor but for sure when i pass over potholes things will move and could turn on the light -Second ideea is to have a timer lamp, push a button and for x minutes to stay on -A switch to make a contact and power on a light when the seat is open
Other ideea or solutions?

A car door/interior light switch would be my solution.

A light with a simple push button, like Hillbilly posted would be the easiest way to have light when you need it. Battery powered would likely last quite a while and you wouldn't even need to run wires. If you want automated, I think Geoff has the right idea. You should be able to get a door jamb switch for a car that completes a circuit when the switch is not being pushed in by the seat. Just have to figure out where/how to mount it and run some wires. Maybe even something from a scoot that comes stock with an underseat light could be useful.

I carry a small LED 2xAA flashlight with me at all times for use at night or peering into dark places. The AA batteries are easily replaceable, found everywhere, or rechargeable batteries can be used. Just my

A battery powered led strip that circumfences the top of the seat bucket switched with a micro switch (bought at RS components or similar) placed somewhere near the latch.

An under seat light won't do much good if you have to replace a CVT belt at night or fix anything else. Been there, done that.
