I have a 2009 Yamaha Vino 125 (YJ125YR), the scooter works great but the Carburetor (which is a double throttle cable) went out. Mukini no longer is manufacturing this OEM carburetor for this particular model scooter. Every Yamaha dealer has this part as no longer available. It's the only part keeping me from having an otherwise great working and good condition scooter from operating. Does anyone have any solution for this issue? Is there an aftermarket carburetor that will work just as good or has anyone modified this part in any way with a substitution? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. We have completely disassembled and tried to rebuild but the carb is no longer good in any way. Just need new one, or modify an aftermarket solution. Any suggestions?

Post a picture of the old carb with some measurements I am sure we can help, that said carbs don't,t wear out they get clogged up internally or suffer impact damage, only the damaged ones need replacements,it is possible to assemble them wrong or have the settings so far out that you conclude it,s faulty.

If it is indeed beyond rebuild, I was talking with a friend of mine, and we were thinking that a carb with an accelerator pump, like a Kehnin CVK in the same size would work well. They work a treat in Vespa ET4, and Buddys (with the Buddy 125 OEM being the obvious). Changing to a single throttle cable wouldn’t be that big a deal.
ETA - but I’m with Geoff that a dip, scrub, and blow is the norm, with an All Balls rebuild kit as a maybe.
