My friend that I play guitar with regularly talks about more complex setups for me. I'm like, "Dude... I just need semi-clean and 11. That's it." lol

Here’s #1 prototype for a product I have been contemplating marketing along with my guitar parts. It’s a cute little 20 watt all-tube amplifier. The circuit is roughly based on a 1964 Fender Deluxe Reverb with plenty of differences. Mine is single channel, different reverb circuit, fixed bias, different power tubes, 10” speaker, but the big selling point is that it fits in a carry-on size suitcase! I also have a Marshall-ish circuit and a Vox-esque circuit to complete the line. Currently working on a patent for a fancy gizmo that would be utilized in the amps to bring the cool factor to a whole new level. Here’s the Marshall-ish head… (just before I got the bias set, hence the redplating power tubes) it’s very tiny. As you can probably tell by now… I like to build stuff. Here’s a short of a friend of mine playing it through a 4-12.

Back to the scooter… I will be left unsupervised for a couple hours on Saturday (wife and daughter have a “thing” to attend) so I will be taking advantage of this time to get some work done on the scooter. The list of remaining tasks to complete is long. I will likely finish up the engine hanger and the bumper stops and possibly begin to tackle the job of modifying the air box to leave clearance for the left shock.
Once that is done, modifying the swing arm shock mount is all that mechanically remains for the engine and rear suspension. The forks need some attention. The spacers need to be modified for the narrower fork spacing and I will likely need to do some modifications to get the front disc caliper to line up with the disc.
Then, finish the seat pan and come up with an attachment system for it, build the battery box/electrical compartment, do the wiring, pad and upholster the seat, make a rear backrest… don’t think I’ll get all of that done this weekend🤣

Love it when you get left unsupervised 😆
Don't leave a guy alone with a scooter and a welder 🙂

your post about your products.... was nothing but chinese to me. but i liked what i saw ! especially the good ole LAMP thingy.
are you gonna run aftermarket muffler or stock style ? i guess for security reason, since people doesnt look where they're going anymore, you're going with something that make some non-abusive noise ?
mine is stock and no way its staying stock. almost got ran over 20 time already in less than 5k kilometers. not anymore i swear. now i understand why alot of government is trying to find a solution for dangerous electric car making no noise.

No loud pipe on this machine. If I want the wife to rejoice in my accomplishments and embrace the open roads astride this scooter, it is going to have to be quiet. I have another thread in this section (Experiments in sound mitigation) following the journey towards a quiet scooter.

I do love the lines of the bike, excited to see how you are going to wire it and not have a huge rats nest.
On my last ruckus I ran a false tube that every one assumed was a frame brace, but it just had my wires, since you are exposed frame what are you thinking ?? Maybe the lower frame and build a flat floor for battery and wires ??

Maybe the lower frame and build a flat floor for battery and wires ?? I’m building a battery box/electrical compartment under the driver’s seat. From there, I can run the wires along the frame tube holding the fuel tank, there is a lot of room under the tank to hide wires. From there, the wires will sneak through the gusset I welded in and then around the steering stem and up into the back of the headlight bucket. There’s a bunch of room in the headlight bucket behind the bulb to hide all the connections to the various things up front. The rear electrical wires can just run along the inside of the frame and be hidden and the engine wiring will be right below the electrical box.

My prediction of an ugly chair being the donor for the nice curves for the rear of the seat frame was incorrect. It turned out to be a bicycle trailer for hauling toddlers behind the mountain bike. So, now I have a nice frame all the way around for the seat pan and now I have the inspiration to make a new seat pan.
I have discovered that using the plastic welder to heat the HDPE sheet to bend and form it is much faster and I can be much more accurate with where and how the plastic bends. Using the welder to heat the plastic can also get things pretty soft to the point where it starts “flowing” but using a pair of gardening gloves that have the textured rubber coating allows me to control the flow while making tight bends.
The new seat pan rounds over the seat frame rather than having the 90 degree edge that the first pan had. I’ll still be welding on some sort of skirt around the perimeter but it may or may not be minimal on pan #2. The bike needs some sort of side panels to hide the battery box and the blank space between the front of the motor and the frame. Need to decide if the seat comes down to the frame and the panel comes up to the bottom of the seat there or if I go with the minimal skirt on the seat pan, the side panel comes up around the frame and meets the seat above the main frame.

I don’t have the skirts welded onto the seat pan yet but I’m leaning towards having the full skirt down to the frame rather than the short version. I’ve done some photoshop trials and the smaller I can keep the side panel, the more motorcycle-esque it looks. The larger the side panel is, the more scootery it looks.

Cool! Considered a baby carrier or small child seat in the under 'tank' bay? Head turning and waving arms for the realistic doll could cable operated.
