kleinanzeigen.de Its like for the whole EU if I'm not wrong. This one is from Germany. You can really find some good stuff for scoots for really cheap sometimes. My friend bought 70cc R/T (kit, crank, case gearbox and whole 9 yards)without the cvt for 400€ and Selletta for 60€.As I said good deals can be found there.Only thing is that I dont know if they'll ship overseeas

A little update on Beta: Changed the belt after 860km roughly. It was 3mm thinner than a brand new.I figured out that the case was not opened enough so the belt rubbed there.Fixed now. 2067km so far.Got myself a new piston ring just in case because I will be doing the service soon(crank bearing are probably done).Carb is still a problem for me.Just cant get it in the tune for some reason. It runs fine but sometimes when I twist the throttle from a stop it just bogs and other time its rich AF.I will probably order a 28mm Stage6 carb in hope of solving that BS. For me the coolest thing I got (that you cant even see) is the Stage6 gearbox cover.S6 doesnt make it anymore and to get it for 60€...I think thats a win. Also bought used 13/44 Polini primary(seller stated only 150km on it).And last I got the Stage6 CNC levers because they just look so cool. It orange and it says "Stage6"?Thats the way to buy me 😄

I would bet your carb issue is you're running rich on the bottom end and lean on the top end. The scoring and damage to the piston and cylinder looks like a lean mixture and the description of carb symptoms sounds like you are overcompensating for WOT lean by being too rich in the first stages. I'd go up on main jet and down on idle/pilot jet and see if that helps out when you get it back together. On a hard hitting cylinder like the S6RT the powerband hits and requires A LOT of fuel, especially if you have a hard hitting pipe. So it's better IMO to be a tad rich on jetting where you can get a little gurgle or rich bog right before the pipe kicks in and be perfect for extended WOT

You are 100% right about compensanting the WOT lean.I'm running 28mm PHBH 52 pilot 130 main and the needle(i forgot which one) is on the richest setting.I dont have a large asortment of jets right now,but I did try 175(had it randomly sitting around) and it was way too rich.I will try to drill one of the jets to 150(I know its not precise and not recomended but hey) and also friend that also has 70 R/T will borrow me his 26mm Stage6 carb so I can try it and rule out everything else that could be faulty.High temperatures aren't helping either.I bought the dirtbike radiators but I just dont have enough time between college and work to put them on.

If you consider a different carb my absolute favorite on the S6 70cc R/T is a Mikuni TM24 Flatslide - super easy to tune and seriously rips on that kit! I use a TM28mm Flatslide on my kit now and it really didn't do anything but give me a couple more MPH top speed.
When your tuning the carb it can get super tricky with the transitions between the circuits so you can trick yourself by going rich in one place and then lean in another so take your time to really feel it out on the stand and on the street. Getting perfect jetting on the stand is rarely perfect under load its just a reference point. And don't make changes before you're up to operating temp lol
By the way, love the look of that thing! Color scheme you did is awesome!

Long time no see...I got caught up with a lot of things and just forgot to post here until today. I eventualy put the motor back together after replacing crank bearings and piston.Tried the 26mm Stage6 carb...another world compared to my 'Orto.Today i went for a ride and it ran great until I stopped at a red light and it just shut off.I pushed it quicky to a sidewalk and tried to start it and guess what...no compression at all.I was confused so I called a friend to pick me up and tow this money pit home. The first thing that I thought of was a stuck piston ring(again?) or a ruined piston.Came home and went to take it apart.Long story short i spent hour and a half trying to remove 2 nuts that mount the cylinder to the case because they stripped like they were made of a butter.Picture below really shows what happens when a frustrated kid tries to remove stripped and hard to reach nut.Tools of choice:chisel and a hammer. It was a last ditch effort because i tried all the tricks known to me.Alright with the cylinder off lets see whats wrong.Well...nothing? Ring moves freely, piston is fine and in one piece.I'll continue the troubleshooting tommorow because its already late and those nuts really drove me NUTS(hehe).

Those nuts are the worst on the S6 kits. I just had a similar issue but was able to get them off, what's worse are the bolts holding the adapter plate in when they snap or strip. The S6 hardware is not top quality.

Hi everyone. How are you all doing? I forgot to post any updates on Beta for a last month for 2 reasons.First was college and work and second was that it ate a new piston just 300km after installing it.I blame it on the cyilider because I think that it got messed up first time that it blew up.Its been sitting for almost a month now waiting for the comeback. But not anytime soon.End of winter maybe? I'm saving money for a car right now and I know if i fix it right away it will just continue to eat all my money. And no she is not going anywhere. No amount of money cant buy it from me. 139km/h.Just wow.To be able to go that fast on a fricking scooter...its just amazing...and pretty sketchy not gonna lie.And yes the temp gauge says 140°C but it never reached that. The wires were damaged and shorting out. Even if it looks like a pile of trash right now my cat thinks its comfy for sleeping. For now Beta is on hold.So will this thread be.See you again soon.
