Lol FrankenMech, just found a complete engine for £169 including delivery. All the rest are 300-400 mark. Arrive Monday. Knew part of my pension would come in handy this month plus payday still to come at the end of the month. |

Engine arrived old engine out change flywheel and stator and gearbox over and hopefully all good.

Few, thank all things holy. The transmission is a straight swap. I shall do more this afternoon and hopefully get the engine together and in maybe.  |

Engine in with help of mechanic when he got back after trying to do it on my own and scooter fell over. Just ancillaries to pop on hopefully not to much of a nightmare.

That was definitely the best solution. 👍 Indeed was but one of the local motorcycle dealers said that the fuel injection engine was different but with the old engine swapping parts over worked for a change without lots of hassle. |

Did a bit more for an hour this evening and hopefully now rescheduled the morning I will have it back together before my massage late morning if I start about 07.00 except for headlight till I pick up bulb and MOT Friday morning.

Done most of the work this morning, just had a massage only the easy bit now headlight bulb and battery box cover and off for MOT in the morning. Thank you FrankenMech and the MOT tester will pass it aeroxbud because it's perfect . I don't have to slip him a fiver or whatever it would be these days😄.

And we have a MOT and after pulling across the road from the garage and stopping to roll a fag damn thing slowly whirred over and wouldn't start. Just as I gave up it did. On way home steering felt wobbly like a flat tyre but wasn't. Took pictures ready to sell with it still running put it over garage turned off , checked battery bit low at 12.60volts put on charge. Tried to start system dead then fired. Possibly duff battery, charging system, whatever. Headlight bulb is a H4 65/55 w when it should be 35/35w Tonight I shall put it out cheap with all known faults and make this my last hopefully and just keep my two going and the Vespa ET4 jigsaw puzzle in the shed when I fancy tinkering. Hopefully this time I have learned my lesson not to be involved in anymore shenanigans with scooters to do up and flip now I ache to much. No laughing in the back rows FrankenMech and aeroxbud 🤪 |

 Sorry milly still had to laugh. We have seen that no more scoots pledge b4.  My doctors screwed up and increased a med that has caused severe swelling in my lower legs. That is making me ache too. Plus I am still working on a mower and going in and out, up and down stairs, carrying stuff, wrenching, wishing I was wenching, and that is turning me into one big aching OLD body. We need an old man smiley er I mean frowny. Don't laugh. Yes, I can still remember wenching, -very dim memories. |

Here we go, it maybe this it maybe that scenario. Went to start scooter and wouldn't turn over but did eventually fire up battery reading 12.63v revving it, not very good. Went to check rest but only turned over slowly eventually found jump pack still same. So couldn't test ac voltage or rectifier volts. Checked frame earth and moved it. Last check before I gave up was starter solenoid leads. One from battery at solenoid cool one to starter was hot at solenoid. More nightmares next when I try to get it off with everything in the damn way. Another job for tomorrow. Whinge moan whinge moan.🤯
