They are an excellent replacement for the OEM unit on minarelli horizontal engines.

Im joining a stock race class so im searching for something better than just a replacement for oem.. i dont know how a full overrange would act on a stock bore I don't have first-hand experience with the Polini hi-speed variator but have only heard great things. As Lucass2T said, great choice for you with stock cylinder. The over range kits are geared for (no pun intended) the more mid-to-high end setups that have considerably more power than a stock setup and sling more RPM. For what its worth, I just put the stage 6 over range setup on my '99 prebug Zuma and I was curious how it would perform. I knew I'd be going 70cc but I made it one of the first things I did and slapped it on with the stock cylinder just to see. It performed much, much worse than the stock variator and rear pulley. Even with the Polini Contesta kit that I just put on recently it is probably too much and not ideal - although I have mid-term plans of replacing this with a higher revving, more powerful cylinder this winter so I'm not too concerned for now.

Minarelli? Not sure how eager you are to win? But if you are very then Id say go for it regarding the overrange setup! The minarelli OEM cvt setup is garbage, especially the rear pulley. Piaggio is way better. In my opinion id swap to a straight spline rear pulley first before you change the variator. But not changing the variator makes no sense when you are racing it. Therefore if you are looking for a budget racing setup go with a 122mm Top Performances rear pulley + longer belt + sports variator like the polini. Otherwise go with a full malossi overrange kit.

i have seen that lucas2T did alot on his I did, but it's in no way a racer of any kind. I also do not know if it is a good platform for racing... I use the 122mm top performances pulley. It has straight splines too like the overrange pulleys. Paired to a large Doppler S2BR variator with big 19mm rollers. The stage 6 overrange belt works perfectly lenght wise. Read my thread for exact information. Its a nice budget overrange setup.

But i like the trill of a slow 50cc making 110 kph Good luck if you are limited to the stock cylinder... Thats not gonna happen unless you put a sleeve with custom porting in it.
