I think that may take AF05 parts. There are all kinds of top ends and cranks available for those, could be worth a look. I’ve not seen an AF07 stamped motor in person before but it looks like the common AF05. I can find very little information on the AF07 except in 83 they did a water cooled one in the Honda Beat.

I am fairly certain the cylinder is the same on the af05. Crank not sure since this af07 is a non variated right? If it is variated it may take the crank and variators as the af05. Intake is similar on the af05 and Peugeot rapido and peugeot St50. Polini makes an excellent kit for those.

Think a bit of cross referencing is in order between honda Melody wiring and generic switch. Have brake light switch working ( well I assume it is the brake light switch) But ignition is on in any 3 key position. Wish me luck 😀

I did some more digging for you. This is all second or third hand information so take it with a grain of salt. It looks like the AF07 is a weirdy. It has the same cylinder stud spacing as a bunch of older Honda motors. Think pretty much everything AF05e and earlier. It also has a slightly longer stroke and different port layout than a AF05e. The AF07 is reportedly variated as well. Supposedly the AF07 has the same bore, stroke, stud-spacing and exhaust header flange as a Honda Lead 50 (AF01 motor code). Not the Aero, specifically the Lead. Not entirely sure why as the Lead 50 and the Aero 50 are the same but different markets. There are still cylinders available for the AF01 with relative ease in Europe. I assume you are somewhere in Europe if you found this model to begin with. Where it gets very interesting is that the AF05e cylinders and exhausts will fit this motor with some minor adjustment. The AF05e motors have a slightly shorter stroke and therefore need a cylinder spacer to fit. If anyone on the forum with the bore and stroke of a AF05e could chime in and confirm that would be excellent.

Throttle cable arrived and sorted ISH. Pipe work on. Ignition switch modern wiring to Honda Melody wiring sorted in theory tonight or tomorrow will be the test of sparks or no spark show. 😁
