What size jet would you recommend for the upgrades ? I bought a kit that has 80-102
Also the variator kit I bought came with a red clutch/contra spring? Do you think it is to stiff? Tanks

All brand of jets are different so I can’t tell you there. Pretty sure I’m running a stock Zuma jet in my vino (80) I think. Although the 80 you got could be larger or smaller. If you don’t have a temp gauge you should get one. They are cheap & make tuning way easier. If the red springs you got are the stiffest they are too much. I think I’m running a white contra & the softest of my 3 pack of springs (+500) I think.

I ran a white contra or fresh stock contra in my vinos The red is for way more powerful build that should be a wide enough range of jets a temp gauge is a must have for tuning and long term protection of your hard work .

The temperature gauge has a ring which replaces the crush washer on the spark plug. This enables you to monitor how hot, rich or lean the engine is.

Ok so I got the temp gauge. Should I put it on the head bolts or do I have to put it on the spark plug. The spark plug would take a lot of work as I would have to notch out a fin. Sorry for all the questions I really appreciate your help.

I don't think that is a crack, likely just where they trimmed the casting a bit. Check to see if there is a crack on the inside where the wrist pin bearing rides.

Alright so I installed the big bore kit and installed new main jet and it now when I attempt to start it sounds like it has compression but then there would be a clicking sort of noise in the cvt area so I would stop. I checked compression and I have about 110psi. Not sure where to start I’m a little discouraged
Thanks a bunch

do you have the ground for the kick start under neath the screw
try kick starting it it may just be to much to turn over by the battery
My vino batteries have a hard time turning over with a kit .
