Hi all has anyone tried a dayco 7191k belt on a Yamaha Zuma ,it seems a easy size to get in Australia ,apparently a 16-5-757 works well on them ,but this belt is 17.5-765 if it would work it would save huge freight costs on chasing down the other belt from overseas ,cheers Todd👍

Do you have shims ? You would probably need to shim to get best travel with the wider belt I have run daycos on my roughhose they are a good quality belt . The stock yamaha belt rolls out to 738 mm the dayco belt i had rolled out to 745 but was listed by dayco at 756 x 18 x 30 , the belt your looking at should roll out just over 750 mm 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/28919/malossi-belt-size-verificationThe stock rear pulley has room to run a slightly larger belt the dayco belt you are looking at is on the outer edge To run that big belt Ryan ott had to use a bigger Torque driver 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/24543/top-performance-td-belt-lengthCan you get bando belts by you Bando has a 738 x 16.5x 30 belt for long case Or if you can grab that smaller Dayco belt

I have not used gates belts yet According to vendor parts for scooters the gates belt roll out to the size they are listed at so it will be bigger than stock zuma belt comparable to what Ryan ott and I ran with budget overrange The that 757 dayco belt would be my choice over this belt Day o belts roll out a little smaller than they are listed

A gates or Brando in the 748 range or a Draco in the 757 range is what I would look for as the longest belt with stock variator and rear pulley You have room to run a little bit longer belt on the rear pulley than a stock zuma that is 738
If you got Too long a belt you won’t get the highest gear on the front pulley because the belt won’t get down the lowest gear in the back pulley
