Slight update. She's been difficult to start and yesterday refused. So I removed the cylinder put the new piston in, lightly honed the cylinder. Fitted the old standard but derestricted exhaust on her and again she refused. I then fitted a new carb, the smallest touch and she fired up. Ran for about 2 minutes as I was tidying up a bit she stopped. Now refusing to restart.
Says to me carb / fuel related. But after 2 mins of running I had no oil leak it would appear. Early days but hope I'm on the right track 😆

Nope just checked this morning to oil running down the variator side case. But it is oil. Makes me go towards it being the oil pump just constantly flowing.

Disconnected the oil pump and she fired straight up. Over and over again, so figure the pumps just running.
Firstly any idea of blocking off the oil pipe to the carb.
Then, what's the premix ratio so I can keep using the bike for now.
Do I need to make any adjustments to the carb for now?

I've always run 50:1 in sports builds. It's what the Yamaha pump is supposed to supply. That's a 2% oil mix. If you are taking away 2% of the fuel and replacing it with oil. Increase the main jet by the same amount. Some people prefer 40:1, but I've never had a problem running sports cylinders on the 50:1 mix. You will need to either remove the oil pump. Or the oil pump drive gear. Then block off the oil feed nipple on the carb.

So the new oil pump should be here tomorrow. The pedparts site says it needs primed with a drill.... How do you do that 😆

With the drive wheel off the pump. It's only held on with a clip. You can then fit the shaft into a drill chuck. Run it at low speed in reverse, till oil comes out the pipe that fixes to the carb. You have to remove the stator and plastic drive gear on the European stuff to get the old pump out. On the water cooled engine I had to remove the cylinder too. It's worth replacing the oil pipe that goes to the carb. As they go brittle over time with the heat from the engine.

New oil pump fitted and exactly the same.
Leaking oil, bugger to start and today dropped down to walking speed and had to push home

I don't get it.
New carb New oil pump Exhaust change to standard New piston
At this stage I'm not even sure if I rebuild her it'd work. Because I don't understand why she's spitting out so much oil.

Not the same problem as you, but my friend had a faulty vacuum fuel pump (on Yamaha Neos, minarelli horizontal AC), and the fuel went into the vacuum hole on the carb, as well as the gas hole. It flooded the entire carb, fuel gushed out from every part of the carb, air filter, made its way down the cylinder, leaked from the exhaust port and had tons of it in the exhaust. Not really relevant but will add nonetheless, maybe it helps.
But you run a factory oil pump, and you have a new carb..
Maybe the oil pump is faulty from the factory and shooting the oil in either directions, causing the flooding and oil seepage everywhere?
Maaaybe it's also wise to get rid of the oil pump. Yes, you will have to carry extra oil with you. Yes, you will need to shake the scooter to mix the oil and gas once you've filled up. But trusting the oiling systems on the older Peugeot's is like giving a baby a bomb to play with (in my experience).

Ok So think I have stopped the oil leak but kept bogging down yesterday at mid throttle and as i have gone back to the standard but derestricted exhaust thought it was a jet but now cant get it riding at all..... 🤦

Usually it's a 68 stock main jet. Or a 72 with a pipe. What was the oil problem in the end? The o ring on the carb flange?

Hi I changed the O ring and it was leaking when warmed up out the pump. So I took it off and sealed it with oil resistant liquid sealant.
The oil did come back out the carb when the bike ran on Saturday so maybe it was something to do with air getting in where it shouldn't be and effecting back pressure. Time will tell.
But now doesn't want to run lol.
I thought maybe a 68 but thought it'd run albeit rough on a 70 which is where I started but doesn't seem to like any jet now 🤦🤦🤦.
