I'm restoring an 86 Gyro and have come across what appears to be a missing part. It is not identified on a schematic or parts diagram.
It's a hole down to the left of the oil pump shaft, has a power connection and a ground right at that location. There are also 2 screw holes ready to take a part.
Any idea what goes here?

Well, I thought so too, but according to the TG50 manual the starter is inside the the drive wheel hub.

Manual may be describing kick start mechanism or just using different terms. I can assure you that is where the starter bolts on. The single red heavy wire leads back to the starter relay and the green wire goes under one of the starter bolts.

Thanks. Where can I find the starter motor? Any links? Or a parts site?

Thanks. Where can I find the starter motor? Any links? Or a parts site? That I have no idea about. I have seen starters that have a wide spacing like that one has but who knows if they will fit. Being Honda you should be able to find something that will work. Good Luck with your resto
