That does look like a good deal. Do you know if it's a 2T or a 4T?

It looks the same as the red one I sold. Same year, same rims, same exhaust, same everything. He accepted the offer and said it has the paperwork so I'm gonna get it today.

Update: I got it home and after cleaning the carb and replacing the fuel in the tank it fired up! It ran like shit at first but after a couple of minutes it smoothed out and I was able to get it to idle nice after playing with the mixture and speed screws. I rode it up the street and it runs strong. The odometer only has 1100 on it. Everything works except the horn. It has an alarm on it that works but I'm not sure I want to leave it on there because I've heard they drain the battery. The red scooter had no alarm but it had the same plug connector with a jumper wire between two of the female terminals. Anyone know which terminals to jump? PIC? One thing that bothers me is that there is a lot of oil on the fan shroud that seems to be coming from the oil line to the carb. At least the source seems to be where the oil line passes through the fan shroud so it looks like I'm going to be removing the engine and shroud to find out what's really going on. Alarm module: The engine is in great shape except the rubber piece between carb and intake is cracking just like the other one. It has some funky blinkers on the front that have gotta go! On the red Zip the blinkers were part of the headlight assy but on this one the headlight assy is different. There's black plastic where there should be clear with a bulb. That Pep boys scoot has the proper headlight blinker assy but I may just replace the blinkers with these that I took off a Tank 50 4T PEP Baja headlight: Not sure I like the gold rims??? The gauge lens ain't broke. Yay! ;D

About that alarm jumper:

Thanks Reign! I knew I had seen that pic before but I couldn't remember which forum. I post on a few. I found the oil leak. The oil line was pinched between the shroud and the frame and had a crack in it. As luck would have it I saved the oil line from Red when I disabled the injector so I just have to switch it out. The entire back/bottom half of the engine is caked with sludge so I removed the back wheel and sprayed the crap out of it with Gunk.

I'd go with the Baja headlight. Maybe replace the whole black piece up front so you don't have holes from the old blinkers. Keep it smooth.

Yeah, I'll probably end up doing that but it's a PITA to remove and switch out the light and luggage compartment door. Anyway, I tried to get the oil pump pumping by removing the bleed screw etc... but I was unsuccessful so I removed the drive gear and am going to go with premix. I drained the oil tank and the oil in there was red colored. Tranny fluid?

I know Mobil 1's racing oil used to be redish, but not as red as trans fluid. They haven't sold that stuff for awhile now.

Klotz is red and i know there are others but i cant remember them now. Im sure you will be fine. I think pre-mix is a good idea.

Well, I'm gonna throw that oil out because I don't know what it is for sure. I used some weed whacker oil I had for now til I can get some good stuff. I've decided I'm going to sell the blue scooter and keep this little bad boy for a while. I just hope there's no problems with the paperwork. The title is in a third party's name because the guy I bought it from never transferred it over to his name and the reg is expired since June '09. I got a bill of sale for $50 even though I paid $200 in hopes the reg. fee will be cheaper. Anyway, It's all done pretty much. I just have to install the rear plastics, the seat and buy a battery for it. The horn just needed the little screw turned a little but I went ahead and replaced it with another one I had that's way louder. I removed the alarm and jumped that plug. Without the jumper the ignition is always hot so it stays on when you shut off the key. If anyone wants the alarm it's in the for sale section. It's a dog to get warmed up but it runs super after that. I have to hold my finger over the intake hole for about 10 seconds and then partially block it for another 30 seconds or it'll die. It's pretty cold today and rainy. I replaced the headlamp and front plastic as Brent suggested. The flasher bulbs in the Baja light assy. are clear so I'll have to get some amber ones to be legal. The Baja has two amber ones on the handlebars so they used clear. The engine is spotless. The rest is pretty clean too. I removed the oil tank and wiped everything.
