Swapping scooters, huh? Does that mean you'll have to change your handle? I like the looks of that scoot. Good color. Safe. Easy to see.

I dont blaim you for the switch, it a nice scoot and for the price, hell you cant go wrong! Looks better already w/out the signals poking out the sides. Good job. I bet a lil Zip(or clone) like that would make a real good race scoot being small and light right out of the box. Short cases too, hhmmm....Nice ride!!!!

I used to think 50cc's were lame after riding my moms metropolitan around, and then I got a 4 stroke early 70's honda moped. with pedals to start it and everything. that thing did 30 TOPS. Then I saw this vento on craigslist and got it. I'm never going back to 4 stroke!

I think only Brent can do that. I usually use "FOX" (my last name) but I decided to be different here for reasons unknown. Maybe I was a little buzzed on St. Pauli Girl or Coronas ;D Anyway, I am really liking the 2 stroke world. They are so simple and so much more powerful. I figure I'll prolly end up getting a 70cc kit and a pipe etc... down the road so I can dust off the 150cc 4 strokers.

Sounds like you have acquired the N-2-2-T bug. Now you'll have to take regular up-draft treatments of a little stroker smoke just to get through the day. Will you have to tread lightly around the emissions police there in Cali?

You know I really don't know the law on 2 strokes here. I've seen plenty of Yamaha 2 stroke Vinos and Zuma scoots cruising around so I guess they're legal.

All I know is that two stroke powered implements (string trimmers, hedge trimmers, etc.) over 20cc were banned there several years ago. I used to work at a plant that built these products and was told that that was the reason we started building units with such small motors. 2t 'motorcycles' under 50cc may still be legal under certain circumstances.

Lookin' really cherry, man. And the price was right! I like the flat floorboard and the open storage bin. I miss the open storage bin that my first scooter had. It was handy for sticking a newspaper or envelope in to mail at the p.o.

Looks great! That storage bin works great for 16-20oz bottles of soda too. Nice for keeping drinks handy so you can grab 'em while sitting at red lights on hot days.

Yeah It's good to have that little pocket. My 4T has a little glove box with a locking door but everything falls out when you open it. I have a yellow shock absorber from a 4T that's an inch or so longer and it's stiffer than the one that's on there. I tried it on there but the back wheel won't come off the ground unless I put the center stand on a 2X block so I can warm it up/run it. It's not a big deal at home but I don't think I'd look very cool parking it in public on a wood block. If I could weld I'd just lengthen the center stand but I don't weld. Do you guys think a welder could extend the stand without removing it from the scoot or would it fry the electrical system?

A welder could probably do the job with it on the scoot, but I really doubt they'll want to. Even if someone would take the job that way, you'd probably get a bigger bill for the extra time and effort they'll have to put into it. I would definitely remove it and take it to a welder so they can set it up on a bench and do it right quick.
