Not the worst repair on a scooter I have seen. The most rigged up repairs are usually the repairs that last longer than the bike. Thing will probably hold out longer than the other side, usually how it works.

Well progress on this extremely hot day of 78f here in Wales. The tyres are on by friend over the way after I punctured the inner tube. Turns out in 6 places. The front wheel from honda fitted fine except for an extra spacer courtesy of a ford car. Rear wheel had problem with back plate mounting which would have need a lug welding on swinging arm. A back plate from an old pox spaced out with a shock spacer courtesy of a range rover glued against the bearing to stop it falling into the brake drum every time I tried to insert the spindle or move it. Brake hardware parts from Vespa unknown and a Honda Melody. Top chain case bodgery from a old Chituma CTM 125. Still not tried turning engine over yet

Sounds like a whole lot of bodgery but I am used to that.

Tonight I had little time to check out work on it for tomorrow. Now wheel and chain on I was pleased to see it turned over ok when pushed in gear for which I am pleased as thought a seized engine as it has no kick starter fitted to try. The new starter can be fitted tomorrow and I fished out the cut wires which looks like CDI and rectifier wires. Rectifier I have but no CDI but found a second hand one for £14, a wiring loom for £15 with good connector blocks or a loom with all bits attached for £39 or offers. I have a new CDI but if the Pox is like the Peugeot Twat the wiring for the CDI is specific to that model. With my elecktrickery skills it might pay to put offer on the complete loom with all parts. We will see if I can get my head around it and try not get to discombobulated tomorrow.

Scooter frame building => Stick cardboard together with blobs of superglue, naw, maybe Elmer's white school glue.
I see you have a new starter.

Today's jobs after doing the garden was a professional job of sorting the ignition lock as it came with no key. Then to town for starter motor bolds. Now rain stops play. Hmmm looking at the bench in the picture I think it is time to tidy it up at some point.

Your bench looks better than any of mine. Any flat surface in my house tends to accumulate maximum slope debris. I don't get around well and am always too tired after working to put anything back where it belongs or clear up any debris left over from any project.

A strange thing happened today when up the woods, the mate who sorted out the purchase of the Pox from his neighbour came over from the wood mill and said did you apply for a title and I said yes. He said his neighbour got a letter from DVLA and was asked about it. He asked my mate what to do and Jamie just said you do you John and Milly can do Milly any problems it with him not you and nowt to do with me anyhow I got a title okay and during the conversation and it turns out it was his daughter's old Pox and she bought it from someone in Cellan. I then realised I sold it to her about a year or so ago and didn't even know till today! So I moved stuff about ready to put on a new loom tomorrow hopefully when battery arrives.

It's moved into the garden shed ready to be worked on at last from the garage. Once I have tidied the shed tomorrow, layed some chippings in the garden and organised tools and oils etc from garage to shed.
