It's frustrating when you are waiting for parts. Only for them to be wrong. I waited three weeks for a centre stand, and then it was too short. Bloody annoying.

Sorry, I can't help myself...

Needs must but life and everything is better without a rubber band CVT. What mudpit have you been riding that thing in or did you just spill your coffee all over it? I always recommend black zip-ties where they are exposed to UV light, but then how much UV do you get in sunny rainy Wales. We have not approached jacket weather here in Kansass. It is still too bloody HOT for humans to survive. I did shut off the AC in the van early this morning. My electric bill is still high in the afternoons.
As a side note, I did see a news report where some idiot reporter was referring to the princess of WHALES getting out and about after the big C. Almost as bad as reports about the Alps in Australia or some such nonsense. Reporters are morons these days.

Good weather was yesterday, today is hot as Hell... You need to move to Wales. It's a nice place. Pretty cheap to live there. But you need to employ a translator full time.

I need to go somewhere, most people say that other hot place, do not pass Go, do not collect $200....... I think I have lived there for 71 years. I need a translator to live where I am. I don't speak Spanish or whatever dialect my neighbors speak.
I would love to go Home, to Scotland, but I would need a translator full time there also. I also couldn't afford Scotland or anywhere in the UK. I am just SOL, time to Die.

After all the elecktrickery nightmares of late the garage said I may use the ramp today and tomorrow. I am slowly removing and replacing the loom after taking pictures of the old spaghetti and starting from the back have got halfway. Grandchildren now here so finish it tomorrow. It's going together like a easy jigsaw. Only problem is that it appears the tank has a weep at the back seam. Thought I could smell faint odour of petrol but another tank not a problem compared to electrics 😵💫

They make some sort of liquid sealant kit like: www.amazon.com/Eastwood-Anti-Sealer-Cycles-Instructions/dp/B07QPYGMYRThere are many other brands also but Eastwood and POR-15 might be the best.
From the website: Seal that older gas tank to keep rust out of your vehicle's fuel system, and to seal minor leaks.
Wondering how to seal a gas tank? Our Gas Tank Sealer Kit rids the gas tank of damaging rust, and then seals it, so your fuel stays cleaner. Plus, the gas tank sealant seals minor leaks, so there's no need to search all around town (or pay) for a replacement gas tank for your restoration project. It's an inexpensive way to repair your gas tank. Kit includes:
Metal Wash Fast Etch Rust Remover Gas Tank Sealer (1 pint in Motorcycle Kit, 2 pints in Car Kit) Muriatic Acid and Acetone are available locally
Contents
Gas Tank Sealer (1 pint in Motorcycle Kit, 2 pints in Car Kit) 1 pint Rust Remover 7 ozs. Metal Wash Instructions
TIP: You will need to purchase Muriatic Acid (dilute 20:1) and Acetone from your local hardware store.

All coming along well, just spent a hour on it and will be done later. Bit of confusion on routing the loom but previous owner at some point had re routed it on the wrong side hence the loom being pulled and causing problems but now solved that.
