I have a few questions about tuning my Yamaha aerox 2006. I am thinking about buying a malossi sport 70cc cylinder kit, tpr variator kit and a malossi fly clutch. Everything is stock except that I have an yasuni sport exhaust and the bike is derestricted.
My first question is do I need to change my stock crankshaft for this cylinder kit or I can keep it stock?
Second question is is this variator kit good for this build and how much grams roller weights should I get for the build?
Third question is what kind of clutch springs should I get for this build?
And the final question is is this actually a good build to do on my aerox and do I need to change something or buy other things to make it work?

The Malossi sport is a great street cylinder. If your crank is not really high mileage, it should be fine. You don't want to be going over 10,000RPM really If you want it to last. I know this from experience. You say you have a Yasuni sport pipe. Is it the street one, or something else? My street pipe, i just used slightly stiffer springs. The R or Z would need the hard ones. Haven't you already set it up for the pipe? I would get a new small end bearing while you have the piston off. I have no experience with that variator. I usually use Malossi, or Polini. You shouldn't need to get a new clutch unless yours is worn for this level of build.

Well idk really about the pipe because I bought my bike with it and also how can I check my crank milage because like on the speedometer it says 12k km is that it's milage or something else?

That should be fine at that mileage. Just check to make sure there is no up and down play on the crank. When you have the cylinder off. A little side to side play is okay. If you buy a cheap tachometer. It will make it a lot easier to set the transmission up. They are not very expensive.

Wouldn't it work if I like just use the same weights on the transmission and without buying a tachometer?

Sometimes it's hard to guess at what revs your bike is at. The exhaust needs a certain RPM for best power. You can find by feel. But if your pipe needs 9,000rpm. Can you be sure you are not at 8 or 10,000. Out of the power band.I You could buy a few different rollers and spend a day tuning. But a tachometer takes the guess work out of it. What pipe do you have?

to narrow down which yasuni pipe is so we can give you better advice
sport pipe( these a lower rpm and stock cvt setting are not far off what you need) Is it all black with no separate silencer so the exhaust flow straight through it
Expansion pipe (these are higher rpm and the higher end they are the more you have to adjust the cvt for the tighter power band) These pipes have a separate silencer that sits above the exhaust pipe does the silencer have bolts only to hold it to the rest of pipe hold it on then its a Yasuni Z Is the silencer held on with a spring ?then it is a Yasuni R or a higher end pipe
If the silencer is held on with a spring count the zebra stripes on the pipe this will help identify if it is a higher end pipe than the Yasuni r

ok then you would need the hard clutch springs which would be malossi red This will get you starting up in the power band you want to feel the power as soon as you hit the throttle wide open . you should be able to get by with a stock contra or a malossi white both should give just enough tension to avoid belt slip and not so much tension it causes excessive wear and tear on transmission. As far as weights 5 grams to 6.5 grams is the weight range that should get you in the 8500 -9500 power band of that pipe cylinder combo. www.pedparts.co.uk/blog/sports-exhaust-testing-50cc-and-70cc-sports-mopeds-part-two

Okay and can I just get the malossi sport cylinder kit and a better crankshaft if I want more top speed and power to my bike or I need to change these things too. Like can I just get a cylinder kit and get a good power?

If You Just get the cylinder you will at least need to buy a pack of main jets for tuning.

What size main jet is good?

It's hard to say an exact number. There are so many variables. Just buy a jet kit and work your way down. Has yours still got the original Gurtner carb?

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's the stock carb
