The hose on top of the petcock is the vaccume line. It goes to the nipple on the intake this^

also the proper way to prime the engine is to take the air filter out and spray starting fluid or brake cleaner into the intake

just to make sure its in the right spot, the intake is the L shaped piece of hose or whatever that goes onto the the motor right? and i've already primed it. i've done EVERYthing i can possibly think of, other then try a different cdi, and mess with the valves, and i dont know where the valves are, or how to mess with them....and i was talking to my dad just now about the cdi, and we looked for his to try...and we cannot find it ANYWHERE on his...we only found this tiny black box by the horn...he said thats for his lights and turning signals...any ideas guys? thanks for all of the help you have already given!!!

some of them they are under the floorboard opposite the battery and are a pain.... some are in the battery box. the intake manifold is where the carb attaches....between the carb and cylinder head (engine) once you get it running does it stay running? whats the year and mileage and i've already primed it. okay i dont know what you mean but priming means charging the cylinder with gas. taking out the plug and dipping it in gas is not the proper way....removing the air filter and spraying the hydrocarbon in (starting fluid, brake cleaner, gasoline etcccccc........) is the right way. you could screw up the spark plug threads by constantly removing the plug. and it aint the cdi....if it was the cdi i wouldnt run at all so thats a waste of time. to check spark remove the plug and then plug it into the plug wire the groud the electrode to the valve cover and spin it over to see if it jumps the gap....this is best done in the dark. if it has never had a valve adjustment then my money is on that. also i recommend this: www.amazon.com/Chinese-Taiwanese-Korean-Scooters-Haynes/dp/B003CDDEQE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1332809218&sr=8-1

no, i mean when trying to fire it, i sprayed starter (and carb cleaner once before) in the carb, and yes it DOES have spark, once i get it started it will stay running as long as i give it gas...i was thinking of my dads when i said tao tao sorry, mine is a 2008 roketa mc 02 50b, i bought it used with 3k miles now has 3.2k miles on it...(the dealer said it was a 60cc or something but it doesn't seem like it) and how would i go about doing a valve adjustment?

i dont know if this makes any difference, but he "said" it was a rebuilt motor (never know what to believe these days) so i put the recommended break in oil in it (15w-40)

no there isn't i don't believe, im still learning the basics from my dad though, he knows how to adjust a/f very well, we will do the valve adjustment tomorrow, he says im wrong about it possibly being the valves, he said its just not getting fire (i tried to explain to him that if the carb is fine, and it is getting spark that it should be starting right up) if im wrong tell me so i dont make any mistakes, thanks very much for that link! that should help alot! just incase....if it isn't the valves, what else could it be?

on these engines tight valves WILL make it very hard to start. if it goes fine down the road but wont idle it needs a valve adjustment and if its a sealed carb it needs a new one.
it has good power just wont crank or idle right?

Have you checked the intake for cracks? The 139qmb's are notorious for hairline cracks on the intake and turn over forever before they'll start and you must stay on the throttle to keep em running. Just one thing you might want to check if you haven't already.

nononono it cranks fine, its just that it wont start, like....you can see the motor shake from trying to start hear it going (PUT...PUT (with the starter trying its best in the background) its just not wanting to start and run....thats what i dont understand....once i put gas on the plug and put it back in, its runs fine...still has all of its power (i can get it to 50ish mph) if you still dont understand tell me, and i will borrow my moms phone and make a video
