Sorry didn't say valves, said valve seals, I know the head is new but it's possiable. Could check the vent on your valve cover, make sure it's not plugged.
I can't speak for others, but after a engine has been ran even once. I never reuse the rings if I open it back up.. I always hone the cylinder head and put in new rings.. Do a compression check, if it's ok you can avoid opening it back up again.

Ok I install the Big bore first crank she fired up but it smoked like crazy I figured the oil rings had turned on me well I ripped her back apart and realigned the rings like they suppose to be and put her back together and same thing still smokes like crazy anyone know what else could cause this? Also she has a lot more power and climbs hills a lot better just got to get her to stop smoking This has happened to me several times thats why i dont get the mainland china bore kits anymore and I can tell by the yellow dot on the piston that its one of those china kits. Its smoking because the oil ring gaps are too wide. I have had a hard to finding 50mm rings that I trust..and cant find name brand rings alone...always have to buy the piston too. www.partsforscooters.com/169-203_50mm_Piston_Kit?sc=11&category=735Use the rings out of that. The hoca piston is a domed shape and is taller (18.3mm from pin centerline to top edge)...so it wont work with the china bore. Just use the rings that come with it on your present piston.

I know you said valve seals I was just saying that I used the head and valves that came with the kit I am sure it is the rings are not positioned right but I can't afford right now to get more so I will have to use the same one's for now

I know you said valve seals I was just saying that I used the head and valves that came with the kit I am sure it is the rings are not positioned right but I can't afford right now to get more so I will have to use the same one's for now Actually after reading Fast1 post on mainland china kits, I tend to agree, it makes sense that the oil ring gaps are to wide. that would definitely cause smoking regardless of the rings position on the piston..

I am sure it is the rings are not positioned right the oil ring gaps are too wide on those chinese rings. it will smoke until you install new rings..gap position doesnt matter now. this has happened to me more than once.

could be worse. first time it happened to me i had to take the motor apart 3 times before it dawned on me what it was.

This really sucks lol I spent all day working on this It's cool, believe me we have all started some where and had to learn, I learn something new every day.. Setbacks are just part of life but hang in there and you will have a wonderful machine that will give you much enjoyment...

ok I went out yesterday an tore her back down it isn't that I don't believe you guys about the oil rings but I repostioned the ring and she isn't smoking as bad as she was I am planing on getting another set of rings
this BBK O my she has power she don't slow down going up hills I am yet to test her speed to see how much gain I have gotten but I took her out to get some gas and some oil to do an oil change and man I had to let off at half throttle she was passing cars in a 35 mph zone
I am guess she will have more power when she breaks in ? at least that's what I am told
My next thing to get is a better clutch and variator
I am wanting to keep the stock exhaust but I want to modify it some how after I get all this done it will be time for a new paint job

I did not check the gap on the oil rings but I went out today took her out and the smoking has almost stopped I was told that the rings may have to seet
I guess I should have checked the gaps on all the rings next time I will

I have a ticking noise sounds like it is coming from the stator side I am not for sure what would cause this I had checked the oil level is fine
