so i got my scooter:D very happy:D haven't changed the oil yet wanna wait for the magnetic bolts first. so i assembled it(took me more than i expected) and started it. first start was bad every time i tryed to touch the acceleration it died. after 3 minutes it started acting good and i took it for a ride. it is fast. i didn't take it more then the redline because i dont want to ruin it allready. fact is that i feel a shake.. i've checked and my wheels seems that are not straight. all of them are the same? i can ride like that its not really bad, but damn its annoying. tell me that i'm not the only one it will, at least, make me feel better, cause i'm sure i'm not buying other ones.

Vibration is pretty normal, since scoot wheels/tires aren't balanced. If a wheel does not look to be installed straight, prob not a great idea to ride till that's figured out. Which wheel, or both? Is is as if it's loose or just crooked or is it that when you steer straight the front isn't aimed straight?

i think crooked is the best word. if i spin the front and back wheel when is on kickstand neither of them spin straight. they woble a bit. once you're riding it gets worse. i don't think its an instalation problem cause i've checked both axes and nuts and they seem to be very tight.

Not sure it's necessary for the stock engine, but premium fuel is OK. It is necessary according to most owners manuals that ship with new scooters, and also in my personal opinion. A 139QMB built to spec is 10.5:1 compression, and running 87 octane at that compression is risking serious detonation, even before you factor in flaky carbs, questionable cooling, and wandering ignition timing.

A lot of owners manuals that ship with Chinese scoots can't decide what they want or say it well, so I don't put much faith in them. For example, mine says to fill it with 600ml of oil, then later is says 900ml. That said, I always use premium.

I have a 2011 Tao Tao 49 CC I replaced my sealed carb with one I bought on Amazon myquestion is two fold what is the the right directin to set the idle screw on the cab for all round best peformance and on my old sealed carb had a brass nipple for the over flow on the bottom of the carb my new carb it has a brass srew and the hole for it is bigger so Ican't take the nipple out of my old carb and put where the screw is .What I want to know how important is it to have the over flow hose hooked any way

The mix screw should be set for highest idle... 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/429/idle-mixture-adjustmentThe outlet on the bottom should be a drain, not an overflow. Unscrew the screw and it will drain the bowl. As long as it's screwed in, no drain. Attaching a hose only matters when draining the bowl if you need to route gas away from the engine or to a container. You wouldn't want to replace the screw with a nipple because then your carb would always be draining out gas instead of filling the bowl as it should.

Doesn't hurt to have spares around should you ever suspect the carb is causing a problem. Then you can swap the spare on and see if it clears up.

I need some advice. I bought a carb to replace original from Jason Jones, scooterdoc, he contacted me with offer. I assumed I was getting a keihin, jets already set. What I got is a CVK , H S , standard of Japan, with a red plug My mechanic said there is a screw where a nipple should be, and it would not start, also one screw is jammed and won't turn. My mechanic put the original back on. Should this carb work? Maybe my mechanic was mistaken, I don't really know him. I'm a rookie at this. I have a taotao ATM 50
