Thank you. Since the motor runs great, just needs to hold oil I am going to try and find the case. Still cannot figure out what the bike is.

Those engines look a little different to me, but you've got a better view than I do. Does it say 162FMJ on it or is that just what the seller said? 162FMJ should be a 150. Looking around a little it appears the 150 and 200-250 engines often have a fairly similar bore, but the 200+ have a lot longer stroke. Would probably be hard to look at the head and tell the size if thats the case. Cylinder should be taller though (prob about 10mm) if its a 250.

Seems to me that replacing the case means taking it all apart so can't you take it all apart and have the case welded back together? I know welding aluminum isn't easy but I've seen it done before. The part where the seal is may need to be Dremeled some after so the seal fits in there but I think it's possible.

Some of the aluminum they use on certain parts may not take well to welds. You could always take it to a pro and see what they say. Also if you don't have the original piece to weld back in it would take some fab work cause of where it is. It'll need an oil seal on the kick lever.
I must say that after seeing it with some of the fairings removed, that would make a pretty cool street fighter with a little work.

Oh yeah I see now that it's not just a a crack but there is a large chunk missing. If that piece is lost I suppose it would be real hard if not impossible to repair.
