Thanks. I've already ordered from ScooterTuning. Jeff said he'd see if there was anything he could do to get it to me faster, but it takes a minimum of 3 weeks for an order to process at TPR. I'm not that worried if I get a short break from breaking everything.

Just a quick observation about YouTube videos
The last T2 video at 75 minutes and change was very informative and I liked it but it was just too long. I started and stopped watching multiple times and didn’t finish watching it for a full twelve hours. I can’t seem to budget a block of time that long to watch a full video. I’m not asking you to cut out any content. More is better IMO but could you post more often perhaps and break things up into more manageable chunks for viewers to consume?
Just my own observation about how the video was for me. That’s all.

I’m not asking you to cut out any content. More is better IMO but could you post more often perhaps and break things up into more manageable chunks for viewers to consume? Just my own observation about how the video was for me. That’s all. I thought about it as I was working on the stuff and making the videos. Sometimes I don't feel like there's a good point to cut it off or it just doesn't feel right to me. I don't ever aim to make a 15 minute video or 1hr15min video when I do the build series stuff. It's whatever I think tells the story the best that I know how. Trust me, every part of me has thought... "great, an hour plus video about carb tuning... nobody is going to like this." And then, "here we go again with another hour where I accomplish very little and look like an idiot". However, my desire is to be honest with my experiences rather than to turn it into TV where there's the edited story and the real story that they don't tell. It may just be me, but I find it harder than you may think to take all of this time and video and turn it into 20 minute clips that show what's up in any detail while feeling like I'm giving as much of the story as I should to everyone that is interested in watching. TBH, the video success business model is pretty far from what I do. You are better off to create 5-15 minute videos, released say every Friday. Create cliffhangers if you can. You ever notice that TV commercials and endings always happen right at the most dramatic moment? You are better off to bow to advertisers and promote any company that's willing to pay you and pretend that you actually use their stuff. I watch guitar guys that tell you how they shave their nuts with some product for pay FFS. You will be more likely to succeed if you create clickbait with misleading thumbnails and titles to get people to watch. It's best to ask everyone to join your Patreon and send you PayPal donations in every video. You should hold back content and have a reserve so you can create a consistent experience no matter what (remember, every Friday... or whatever). You can also use that reserve content as a sort of ransom to get people to join your Patreon or whatever service. Sign up and you can see videos a week in advance (notice things like the Discovery Channel now employ the same tactics). All of that said, I do appreciate feedback. It is very mixed. Some people don't like the long videos. Other people have said they love them and they wish I'd do more. While I listen, I still plan to put out videos that make sense to me and keep my priority as showing honest experiences that I hope people can get something from or maybe at least show that not every scooter person around here either has a DUI or is too cheap to buy a "real bike". Scooters and small engines are f***ing cool... yes, even 4Ts. Wait, what were we talking about again? lol

I appreciate everything you do and I’m hesitant to say anything negative. I’ve learned so much from watching the vids and I don’t want to discourage new content.

my 2 cents-
" While I listen, I still plan to put out videos that make sense to me and keep my priority as showing honest experiences that I hope people can get something from "
personally , if a video is long , yours or any other , I can get up and return later. that's the beauty of : "pause".
my 2 cents is everything you do is par excellent' and I wouldn't change a thing. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can appreciate your honesty . if everyone edited out their mistakes that would be one less experience to learn from .

Out of curiosity Brent, what’s your cruising speed and RPM that’s comfortable on T2? If the tune is rich enough at part throttle, there's no reason that it can't cruise around at 55-60MPH. For really snappy response, it's lean enough at part throttle most of the time that I pretty much cruise at 35-40MPH on and off of the throttle. I don't like holding it part throttle. RPM varies, but there are never low revs. The only low RPM is when it's off the gas and idling and otherwise it's 10,000-14,000RPM. When it had the Peace Pipe, I could ride it however I wanted and RPM was more like 7,000-11,000. The only thing bad about riding with the lower rev setup was that the charging was not as good with the MVT ignition, and of course less power.

I was curious as I was cruising around this evening running 8,000-9,000 at 45-50mph. I happened to think of your cruising on long rides and was wondering. I’ll wonder no longer.

It would cruise at 65-70MPH most of the time WOT if desired, at ~14,000RPM, as long as it's rich enough to stay cool. That's aggressive even for me though, and I don't think the engine would have a long life at all if you did that.

IM in video production and editing myself and you do it dam good job of cameraman co-star and production team it's hard being a one man crew especially when you're trying to highlight a theme or subject that you're really intrested in that has nothing to do with film production so if you probably don't hear it enough but your videos are great they've helped me out many times all I usually do is turn up the speed to 1.5 but that's just me I live on a faster clock..

I got a reply from Lectron. No, it didn't take them 2 weeks to reply. I never wrote them till 4 days ago.
"Thanks for reaching out. Those 2-stroke scooters can be a bit of a tunning nightmare, they all can want something different. I would recommend off of what I read a 4-2 would be a great option for you. That will come with a recommend starting length. Typically you don’t want to be no more than 3 turns out on the PJ and 4ish on the metering rod. Please let me know if you have any other questions."
I went on and ordered the 4-2 metering rod. Cheapest shipping option was $15.91 via UPS (remember this is something a few inches long and roughly 1/8" diameter), so it totaled $45.91. So no, you don't need to buy jets for a Lectron, but you could buy a pilot jet kit, main jet kit and a few needles for some carbs for what just a metering rod costs shipped.
I asked this in my original contact as well, but unfortunately that wasn't addressed in the reply posted above.
"Am I correct to assume that the first number relates to rod diameter, with 0 being the largest and 19 being the smallest, and the second number relates to taper, with 4 being the most taper and 0 being the least?"

I can understand the scooters being nightmare comment. Most things they deal with have very little variation. The possibilities of scooter tuning are endless. Let's hope it works.
