I don't like to send stuff back unless it really is defective or something. I'll hang on to it and probably use it for T1. I'll get a port map eventually. One question, does that port area really matter much if there's hardly any flow? The passage is maybe 1/3 of the size of the port window.

The Ex pressure should dump quickly, thats why the HotRod stuff is wide at the top.I think that Jug could be turned into a good one with work, check the chord width of the big port..

These are all measured by chord width... Previous port maps were measured straight line on an unrolled port map. TO be able to compare a little easier to the other kits, measurement of the ex ports would be left aux ex : 7.3mm, ex : 30mm, right aux ex : 7.75mm. Other 52-54mm kits measured the same way have been 32-34mm ex width stock.

So really the main port isnt that much smaller than the other 54mm jugs,if the secondaries could be relieved of that stud bump and cleaned up,it'd likely be a bit better than the single port setup..Do the transfer tunnels look clean? That Ex port looks very rough!

Everything's pretty rough, but the exhaust is the worst.

Just screwing around, I drew out the exhaust ports onto graph paper to see what the total area the main and auxiliary exhaust ports is. I came up with roughly 634mm². The pipe has a 30mm round header, which is roughly 707mm². I definitely have room to grow and still work well with the exhaust if necessary.

After looking at the other port maps,I think that should be a good jug with some work,it should be easy on the piston and rings with the split Ex ports..

We might be surprised with this one guys? That port layout might provide a whole new power band? Its only using the whole exhaust port 1/2 of the way and up. Im interested in the results for sure!

I pulled T1 out from undercover this morning. Dusty and abandoned. Now the 4T is back in the very back. Seems more fitting to let the 4T sit, even though it's not mine anyway. It would prob get more attention from it's owner if it were a 2T. Looks a little more aerodynamic than T2. I put the new bars on a while back, but it still has no controls. I've got the tach from some of you guys and there's a Sigma speedo around here somewhere. I'm looking forward to blowing the big air horn at 70MPH.

The bars are a little less naked now. No wires ran or senders installed, just kinda got things in place. Unfortunately I don't seem to have a set of matching grips, but this will work for now anyway. I still need front turn signals and a bar end mirror. Coulda swore I had a bar end around here somewhere. :stumped: The fuel system was pretty nasty. You can kinda see the green colored fuel, a little thick too, left over on the carb. Normally my premixed fuel has a blue tint. I guess it has been a while huh?

I got T2's engine into T1. It's not all tied up by any means, but it's in there at least. I took the CDI and boost bottle along to make sure everything stays the same. You can really tell how much lower T1 is when you see it up on the center stand. lol The tire was just skimming the ground on T2. I think I'm gonna need a stiffer shock if I wanna keep it this low. The shock I used to drop it is very soft, and I'm heavy.
