Ok so i put the new 100cc kit on and it runs great, rejet and airfilter, does about 50mph, very fast and snappy. No smoke. 3 days later..... So today i ride it about 7 miles to my grandmothers house and once im there i notice it has blue smoke out the tailpipe. So i ride it home and i notice that it mainly does it when i let off the gas and floor it after, And also stoplights ect. Im not talking like a little puff, I mean i can fill the whole street with blue smoke for a quarter mile. Yet the scooter still runs and idles great. Im about to go ride it right now What could this be? What could i check for? Parts that you guys recommend to replace? :panic:

Also like to mention, I changed the oil, found metallic specs in it (very fine)
I also never gapped the rings and i put them in by hand.

Most likely prob with either the oil control rings or head gasket. Only a teardown will reveal the problem.

Can anyone explain how the rings should be staggered?
Preferably in 9 oclock 6 o'clock terms ect

The top 2 ring gaps should be 120-180 degrees apart, so if one's at 12:00 the other should be at 5:00-7:00. Oil rings are the same. I've read it different ways. Some say oil rings can line up with compression rings. An example would be top compression and 12, 2nd compression at 6, top oil at 12, bottom oil at 6. Others keep them all in different spots. An example would be top compresssion at 12, 2nd compression at 6, top oil at 3, lower oil at 9. Some say they move around so much anyway that there's really no need to be overly picky about it, just don't line them all up.

Doubt it could be the valve seals, its a brand new head.
When ever i coast for more than 3 seconds no throttle and than snap the throttle it really puffs out blueish gray smoke. Im surprised i havnt fouled a plug yet. Also there's wet black oil on my new exhaust. I have to wipe it off every other ride.

Oil rings are the most likely cause. I've had a small 4 stroke look like a James Bond smoke screen before from the oil control rings going bad. Can happen quickly too. I was just riding and started with a bit of puffing and by the time I got back home it was horrible. Could be seals or a gasket. A gasket could cause oil to get on the pipe, but then if there's a lot of oil in the cylinder it'll likely leak out at the connection to the head, so it really doesn't prove anything. Like step said, it's gonna have to come apart to know.

There could also be a fracture in either the head or the piston.

I burn about a quart per 10 miles. Theres also a loud pinging/clattering noise at a certain high rpm. And also id like to tell everyone i snapped a side headbolt so its missing one. Also the cir-clips are barely hanging in the piston.

Just because something is new doesn't mean much, it could be defective from the factory. With all the smoke and oil you mention, it sounds real bad to me, plus the fact you said you didnt gap the rings and just put them in, that alone could be your whole problem, but this kind of scene which I see happening a LOT on various forums is why I'm so against these insane BB kits! If a guy wants to go 50-55 mph and 100+ cc engine, get a 125 cc MOTORCYCLE or something built for this. Many/most/ states will give you a ticket if you are on a moped/scooter riding faster than 30 or 35 in the first place. Looks to me like you will have to tear into that engine again and as some said- check the valves, rings and head gasket. The metal specks are also NOT a good sign either.

Good way to add another charge of eluding a police officer when they do catch you, forgetting that many/most cop cars now have dash cams and probably have you on camera. I believe the eluding charge will get you handcuffed and taken in under arrest, not real good!
