Is the belt recent? It happened to me, my belt became way too thin, it was hard to see before comparing with a new one but after switching belt, the noise got away.

well i checked the belt and it was 15.5 so i swapped it out for the stock bando belt that measured 16.2....i figured that should be in a safe operating range....it seams to be tight on the variator but its still rattling...any other ideas?

My Aerox belt is 16.5 new and Yamaha say the wear limit is 15.7 So your must of been near it's wear limit.

well i got my new carb on and have been tuning it....its a dell 21mm....well with it sitting on the canter stand it starts nice and idles nice...it revs up nice and smooth till around half throttle then it starts to bog abit...when i get to about 3/4 throttle it starts to rev up again...what setting should i change to get rid of that dead spot?

You can try needle setting. I'd work on the main jet tune first, on the road, then worry about the rest.

it was like 63 degrees and sunny today so i was able to get some tuning done on the scoot today....the carb is very close but when i let off the gas and start to roll back into the throttle to speed back up it has a bit of a bog for a sec....what should i adjust to get rid of that bog? im running a 95 main and i think the pilot is a 60....i got the new variator on and tuned it....im running 9g rollers....it seamed like 9 would be to much because the weights i was runing in my stock variator were 4.3g to match the zx-r pipe....

A 60 sounds big for the pilot. Usually the pilot is around 40 stock IIRC, and a lot of ppl move that down to 35. Sure you aren't looking at the starter jet? No offense meant, just that I believe the 21mm often has a 60 starter jet for the enrichment circuit.
Have you tried moving the needle clip up or down a notch to see if the bog improves?

No offense taken....i may be looking at the wrong jet....this is the first carb i have delt with that has the enrichment jet...i only changed the main jet....the rest of the jets are the ones that come in the carb.....i have not tried moving the needle yet....next nice day i will play with it a bit and see what happens...
i am very pleased with the malossi multivar....it is alot smoother and reacts much quicker then stock....
