RP is really starting to tick me off....they keep saying that i dont have a "true" 16mm crank on my scoot and thats why it does not fit....i told them about the polini evo crank and how i and others on here think the kit i got was for the evo crank and not a 16mm stock style crank...they say thats not the case and its because i dont have a "true"16mm crank...i feel like im talking to a 5 year old...they are going to swap it out for another kit but i have to send the one i have back first so it will be another 3 to 4 weeks before i have a vari in hand to get my scoot going again....

That sucks. The link I posted is from Polini's site and says that it's for the Evolution crankshaft and the one for a 16mm standard crankshaft has a different part number. Doesn't seem that complicated. Not sure how a 13mm part fits over a "true" 16mm part.

CPI stuff works. My Triton motors are stamped CPI on the cases.

well racing planet had a malossi multivar in stock in the US so i ordered it...they had everything i needed in the US....they redeemed them selfs because it was here in 2 days and it fits...well i mounted the variator and fired up the scoot...there is a rattle in the variator tho...it sounds like the rollers are bouncing around...it stops when you rev it up a little...the belt is all the way down on the boss...im thinking that the belt is not putting any pressure on the variator leaving a gap for the weights to move around...has anyone had any issues like this...i was thinking about taking 1mm of the drive boss to bring the faces closer together....

Not using the original rollers are you? The MultiVar and clones use 16x13 and the stocker uses 15x12mm.
