Decided to make a dedicated thread to measure the progress of the scooter over time.Picture on the craigslist ad. Posted with ~250km on the odometer: ~$500:

Got it all back together after receiving my new variator fan and lock gear courtesy of Reign. I don't know why, but his packages always get here within 72 hours from shipping. Here she is still waiting for the new jets to come in. Can't wait to fire up the new cylinder! Oh and I clipped the mud flap today.

I like the yellow accents. If you aren't putting the front fender back on, you should be able to remove that gold colored bracket to clean it up even more I think.

I used an Aerox adapter just like that on T2, so I think you'll be OK. If PM Tuning won't ship it for a reasonable price, get the TNT stuff from SIPScooterShop.com. They are a bit more expensive, but the last order I made I only paid $18 for international shipping.

SIP is loads better then most overseas shippers. They give a good quote before your order. I agree on the MX style bars, very cool! And sturdy too!

Cool I'll check em out.
Got the jet in. The best jet for it, that I've got, is the 90. I have an 80, 85, and a 90. The 80 wouldn't let me get out of the backyard without starving for fuel. The 85 let me get to the street, but not much farther before bogging. So 90 it is.
I went up the block and back, and it feels like it's either not revving all the way (It does on the stand, it seems), or that the rollers are too heavy (they are 5.2 grams, which was fine with the 50cc). I got back and decided to put on a helmet and a jacket and see about the plug. As I came back outside with my helmet and jacket I noticed a weird smell. I backed up and I could see a bunch of smoke! Turns out the smoke was coming from my exhaust pipe (phew!), not the cylinder. BUT this leads me to believe that my engine is running WAY too hot. I need a thermometer...
The plug has some carbon on the white part, already (I'm running like 25:1 gas:oil).
Anyways... suggestions??

Back that oil off some first off. 32:1 at least. That will get more fuel to your cylinder, and it's still plenty of lubrication. See if that helps.

Agreed, you can actually put to much oil in and cause damage awk

Ok fixed the mix. Put 2 oz in to one half gallon. Should give me the 32:1 ratio. Still having the same problem. I think I'm still running lean. It started out really peppy then I got to the driveway and WOT it, took off then reached a certain RPM and wouldn't go over it. Like I said before, almost as if I had too heavy of rollers - I just lowered them to 5 grams, still same issue. Wish I would have bought more jets now . Is 90 too small for me??

Leave the roller weights and everything else alone for the moment. Just work on one variable at a time for now, the carb. It does sound like it may be a lean issue, and the fact that upping jet sizes makes it better supports that.
Just to clarify, you have disabled the oil injection system correct?

Yes it is disabled, but the pump is still attached. I just disconnected the hoses and plugged the oil barb on the carb. I'm thinking a bigger main jet will do it . Just can't wait anymore. And my g-ma was so happy to not have to drive me to work anymore. Oh well, I guess I could always overnight them lol Sike - $30 is too much for shipping, and it would still take till monday to get here. Going with the $8 3-5 day shipping... Went ahead and got the 95, 100, 105, and 110 - Just to be safe. I don't want to have to pay the $8 shipping ...again. Until then I will try to drill out the 80 to various jet sizes, since it is obviously way too small to be of any use.
Oh and I forgot to mention. It would kind of jump then die almost instantly. But that initial jump-start, which I felt before the bog, was a little surprising. I think I'm going to be happy once I get it in tune... But DAMN I'm dying to let this new cylinder breathe, now!

Next time you change jets, check your float height while you're in there. Some are adjustable and some aren't. If the float height is off it can have enough fuel to idle but not enough to accelerate.

Ok I got back to working on it a few minutes ago. Adjusted the float height, even though I have really no idea what I'm doing. Kinda bent it so that the needle would close when the fuel lever was higher. This made the carb leak A LOT when giving throttle. I also noticed that my needle jet wasn't even seated properly. Fixed that. It's ridable, but still very weak, and feels like it's not getting enough fuel. I also tried running without the intake, and slowly covering it up to "choke" it... Only made things worse! So I don't know if I'm running too lean or not now, cause that would indicate too rich... right? I have the 85 in now, and it's not cutting off or anything, just running really poor. So what's up with the super leak from the carb? Did I adjust my float height too much? I thought that, and tried adjusting it back a little, but it's still happening. I'll try it a little more. I also think the vari is slipping, due to a jerking feeling I'm getting when taking off. I'll check that and let you guys know.
