Sadly, those screws are the Chinese cost cutting way of getting EPA approval. Rather than spend more money, they just tune them lean to lower emissions and put those screws on. Screams pride and quality, right?

No doubt! Well... Too bad China, I WIN! Lol!
The Dremmel is going to be eating all 3 of those screws for lunch soon.
I have to get a bigger jet in there, and inspect that needle soon.

Yay, it's working. Good idea about a bigger jet. There no sense running it lean for better emissions when it reduces engine life. Also, you'll be able to inspect how well the floats and float valve are working.
I replaced those screws on a carb once. I went with allen heads and I believe the size of the screw was M4 x 1.0, but they may have been a little smaller than that.

Yes finally got'r done man, Fonz style no less, lol!... Just banged on it!
I actually heard some spring "BOING" into place or something on one of the hits, lol!
I will check those screws out thanks, and allen heads would be best I agree with you.
