Hi, Just posting in case anyone is interested in my moped projects. My plan is to do a full rebuild on this one with some tasty mods, right now it looks like this This '70 pedal start maxi N is great and original, i plan to do an oily rag type rolling resto thing with it. New tyres, tubes, chain, brake shoes etc but leave it looking original mostly. I also have these 2 which i will decide what to do with later. A pedal start maxi S and a kickstart maxi N the S is a great runner and paint is good but needs small jobs doing and tank cleaned. only part missing was airbox and decompressor lever perch was broken but still works. the N is missing carb, chain, mudguards and side covers but tank is surprisingly clean and engine has compression Thanks for looking!

Used to be bikes like that around for almost nothing. Always thought one would make a neat toy but I haven't been able to find one cheep enough. I've passed up 3 or 4 free ones before I got into scooters and can't find one now but I'm sure one will turn up in time. Did find a Honda express but it was so rough it wasn't even a parts bike

Very nice. I like 'em, just haven't came across any when I had money. They have a bit different feel than a scoot. I've broke down enough that I enjoy the fact I could pedal home if need be. lol

Nice !!! I love old mopeds. I keep toying with the idea of getting one, but I have so many projects started, I dont think Id finish it. We have a club in our town who's rides are all chopped out and butchered up to the extreme!! It's hilarious to watch them ride through town like Bandido's or Hells Angels. They get liquored up and trash talk to scooter riders when they go by or take over the local MC bar. Too funny! Mopeds rock!

No I took it off again to put on my other red one or my one that I'm building up. Dismantled and cleaned out the stock exhaust for the one you are talking about. Pretty gross job. Also fitted new tyres and tubes and brake shoes and removed the wheel bearings last night to re pack with grease hoping to get it back together and tested shortly.

hey thought i would throw up a quick update, plans have changed as usual lol so the first thing is i have SOLD my white hard tail and red soft tail to two of my friends, helping them fix them up too so we can ride around together. girl hasnt touched the red softail yet think im starting with her tomoro, my other mate maggy has the white hardtail all stripped and tank repaired, resprayed matt army green and has ordered a bunch of parts. ill probably still post here about those two builds. so an update on my maxi. i kept my two favourites, the red '70 hardtail from the last post and the once blue soft tail which is completely disasembled and blasted plan is to do a quick build on the red one and get it on the road while i do my full custom and tuned build on the blue one. this weekend i want to get the tanks fully cleaned on both and do a load of stuff to the red one. todays progress saw me strip the red one to the frame, making it easier to clean the tank etc also going to clean exterior of engine and polish a few bits. not repainting as i like the patina. i am swapping the fork tops to the ones from the blue maxi to enable my to run later clamp style bars and a later headlight. just going to strip the blue paint off and paint them black also removed wheel bearings and binned old freewheel, have new bearings and freewheel on order also have a large order of trick parts and spares from puchshop.de and some bits from ypvspares.co.uk which should be here this week cheers!!

Love this picture Just wondering what parts are you ordering from the ypvspares? I did not think Yam stuff would fit.
