well.... made it through the weekend, wish i could say unscathed but somebody wound up taking me out on the second day lol. i kinda had a feeling it was gonna happen cuz on the first day there was like four wrecks literally right in front of me. went to sleep that night knowing somebody was gonna get me the next day.i swear its like i got designated as the guy to beat for some reason this weekend, maby it was the cheetah helmet or, the race trailer but everybody it seems like was making crazy bonsai moves to try to get in front of me. the guy that took me out was holding me up for like half a lap or so. i just couldn't get around him because he was all over the place and when someone is that unpredictable its hard to commit to passing them going through a turn cuz you just don't know if there gonna stay on the line they got or try to get on the line they think they're suppose to be on or what. anyways i figure ill just pass him on the front straight and be done with it but he just had to much bike so i had to settle for drafting him and trying to get him at the kink between turn 1 and 2.... big mistake we get through turn one and i mean im right on his back tire getting ready to pull out from behind him as soon as he committed to the kink but we never made it that far. he scared himself thinking he was gonna hit the curb (which isn't a big deal i had been bouncing off it all weekend. you could actually use it to your advantage sometimes)grabbed a handful of front brake, locked the tire up and it folded up underneath him. he got thrown of the bike he went right his bike went left and i was like oooohhhh ffffuuuccckkk got on the brakes and tried to split the gap but the track kinda vears of to the right heading to the kink so im on the edge of the asphalt i got a bike tumbling end over end next to my head on the left and a body rolling along the ground basically right in front of my wheel so now im hard on the brakes trying not to run him over and he pushes me right off the track my front tire locks up, folds up on me and i go flying. luckily me and the bike land in the grass im unhurt and only the fairing stay broke on the bike so i get back to the pits, tape the bike up, get it re techd and finished out the day. i have some vids one with one of the crashes from the first day that ill be uploading to youtube tonight and an ass load of pics that i want to share, i just have to go through and organize em first. all in all though this was the crazyist weekend yet.

Nice vid! It's clear why you'd be nervous after watching another rider basically run straight into someone.

yea man lots of weird wrecks that weekend! if we had more then one gopro we probably would have gotten them all. and i dont know WHAT that guy was thinking! he wound up breaking his shoulder. the guy he hit was fine but out for the day due to a busted break line. we were racing each other again a little bit sunday morning he was fun to be around on the track. a lot of passing back and forth.
went back to ncbikes this weekend but forgot the gopro so no video of this weekend unless im on somebody else s

new vid youtu.be/zffGesTEP6clol i fell in the paddock on the way back to the trailer after tech sat. morning then the first lap of the first session i accidentaly pull this massive wheelie coming down the hill on the back straight, got to the bottom of the hill and the front end came down with such force it started a tank slapper that was so violent that it ripped the right clip on right outta my hand. that was all it took, wound up being spooked all weekend... its ok though ill get another crack at it in 2 weeks. next is back to ncbikes sep.7 & 8 woot woot lol first time being back to a track, im excited to see what happens when i dont have to spend all weekend dooing drills or learning the line. then sep.14&15 back to summit point

Thanks for the vid. Sorry it didn't go as you'd like, but I suppose all track time is good track time if you wanna keep improving.
Watching the end credits, your bud's last name (Lienhard) sounds like it's made up for the job if it's pronounced as I think.

That would of freaked me out, what a tank slapper! That's why we have steering dampers now I remember in the 90's when the bikes started getting frisky, till then you did not need them. Made for some interesting riding experiences lol Subscribed to your channel

thanks for subscribing paul. ive tried a steering dampener before.... didn't really like the way it made the bike feel heavy and sluggish. but with that being said, i don't know if there's any other way to get around using it either.
