Used to be able to buy new overseas but used is all I can find now. We sand drag here and there used to be rules about snowmobile engines in stuff but it's brackets so there were quads with big triple snow engines. You talk fast. I ran a rail with a yamaha rd350 for one season but with paddles we kept blowing clutch baskets apart. The snow engine was against the rules but one guy did it no one raised heck so the next race there was enough to make a class. I don't think they changed the rules I think that one just got ignored for common sense reasons (they worked well)

I have been thinking about that since John first talked about it fitting where a mina does. OMG I could pass so many cars with something like that! I'd almost definitely get impounded/arrested. lol The way they've treated you in the past in IN, you might get the chair for putting that beast in a street scoot.

The short rides I took were enough to KNOW fitting it in a street build would be dangerous!!

Very nice work guys, I hope you have some future plans for another build. I have some fabrication skills but it stops at mig welding. Excellent work, craftsmanship and piloting

WOW awesome project!!! Please, post as many pics as possible I am especially interested how you solved the problem with the left crankpin, how you managed to fit the variator on the carnkpin that was made only to adopt flywheels or clutches (clutch in your case right?).. Anyway, keep on the good work!

Lucass, I showed the crank mods to adapt the variator shaft from a donor GY6-150 crank to the YZ125 crank wheel on page 2 of this thread.I tried a heat/shrink fit at first, but that was a failure..An old machinest friend said a press fit would do very well so I did that method,it worked great! If you would like any other info,I'll gladly share..

Been on this quest for a while with no luck but I'm still looking. I think a yz 125 grafted into my Zuma would just be dangerous lol. Would be one way to make a heavy bug eye wheelie lol Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

The european MXers used right iggys a lot, also the CR as well as the YZ used that setup in the early 80's..An engine could be swapped to the other side, but it'd be a bunch more work...
