Another question, are the CVT components (variator & clutch assembly) the same for a Jog90 as for a Minnerelli? With a 90cc engine, I want to check into a dual range (or overrange) variator. I WANT MORE SPEED! The 50 and 90cc stuff can use the same components. There are large and small diameter cranks and variators to match. 90s are most often the larger size, but many 50s are too. As long as you choose the right one, you're fine. As many have said, over range variators are intended for higher revving stuff. They tend to bypass low revs, so if you want a 90cc setup that feels like it has a lot of grunt at low revs you many not like the OR vari. I keep using the Malossi OR on mine because it holds up to abuse much better than the other stuff I've tried. It gets into the higher rev peak power more quickly and keeps revs level very well, but at times I do miss the low RPM torque feeling that mild 90s do well. Be prepared to use a soft contra spring and heavy rollers/sliders with a 90cc and an OR also... at least with the Malossi. Mine end up filled with solder or foil to get them to the weights I need, since there isn't a huge heavy selection of 19x15 weights.

I WANT MORE SPEED! I'm guessing you bought a long case jog90 engine from Scrappy dogs. If not. No matter. Yes your jog90 is a minarelli but a bigger version. So 50cc minarelli cvt parts will not fit into your jog90. All your cvt parts will be larger. Larger crank 12mm (bigger variator) larger clutch and bell (bigger rear axle) fits most 12" rims. When you finally delve into your clutch later you'll notice it's actually stamped jog90. When ordering parts make sure that your ordering for the 90cc version. I highly recommend the Hoca 54mm bbk, the Hoca variator, and a 21 Dellorto carb for your set up. 60mph+ daily driver all day. That's if it is a scrappy dog long case.

Yes, it is a Scrappydogs Longcase. That's exactly what I have. Very Reliable engine. I forgot to mention getting a torquey exhaust. Tecnigas 100cc next-r is a reasonably priced exhaust that works well with the parts previously mentioned. I think I got that setup up to 63mph. I weigh 270lbs. So... Edit: pic of my Scrappy dog motor.

I have a Leo Vince ZX exhaust for the scooter. I bought it from niz76. Ran great on my 90! and was a hair more wilder than the Technigas was. Hope you're ready for wheelies!

I just have to find out what the drive ratio is to see if I have to re-gear.

It's too cold to work on my scoot, so I haven't tried to install the jog90 yet.

Dude, just go for it! Just remember to put the toilet seat down! If she says anything, tell her that you have to put up with her pantyhose hanging on the shower curtain and that she probably puts the toilet paper on backwards. You also might mention that the bedroom is probably too feminine for your taste. So, since you put up with all of that, you can work on an engine in the house. LOGICAL.
