It is my grocery getter. I loaded an entire standard size grocery cart full of groceries on it a few days ago. The guy behind me in line actually stayed around to watch me load it. I think he would have helped me haul some of it if necessary. It looked like a proper SE Asia scoot with everything piled on it. The only thing wrong was that I was not carrying an additional two passengers plus a baby and a dozen live chickens in cages.

The picture #8 with Tomma the cat shows one of those $80 Harbor Freight ATV and mower lift jacks inside the garage. I use it to lift the front end up in the air. The back end gets hoisted with a Masdam power pull winch to a pick point in the ceiling. I throw a stand under the rear for safety. There is a U-bolt in the back of the seat frame visible in picture #5 that is used for picking up the rear.

NICE!!!!!!! I like the mods. Well, I gotta rename my scoot now, as yours is truly worthy of the name "Frankenscoot". I kike the creativity involved. Shes a beast. I like the cat too, we have 2 cats & 2 dogs as well. Any way, sweet ride. Chris

Thanks guys!
I enjoy riding it and there are more mods to come. I have a steering stabilizer to mount on it. The steering stabilizer mount bar will also serve as a mount point for a windscreen/cab assy. I still may mount an electric fuel pump as a standby in place of the marine primer bulb I am using now. I will need to figure out where to mount an ON-OFF-ON(momentary) toggle switch. I don't want too many wires attached to devices on the battery box cover. I have already knocked the 12V power outlet cover off twice with my big size 14 feet.
BTW, the yellow zip ties on the left side seat frame mark the spot where I have to insert a finger to release the seat latch.
The ATV primer bulb can be seen in pictures 4&5 down near the lower front corner of the left side basket. It won't get cold enough to require it this year but it will be there for next winter. It squirts a shot of gas into the intake manifold to help with cold starts.

Cool looking scooter. Sort of got the Mad Max look going there. Plus, you have a Black Cat! You definitely are styling.

I hooked a lawn and garden primer bulb from my mikuni's bowel drain and ran it in to the intake hose. It's hidden from view, and helps alot ion cold days.

That is essentially what my ATV primer bulb from Advanced Auto does. My scoot would start OK without the enricher down to 30°F or so but it was hard to start below 25°F. It pumps fuel out of the tank through a T in the line.
That black cat is my buddy, he is a big sweetheart. My yellow tom, Trapper, passed away last March at 20-1/2 years old. I have two more also, Rascal -aptly named, and Copper -a little 12 year old female long hair tortie. Trapper and Copper were cats from the shelter.
Every vehicle or machine I have eventually gets to looking a little Mad Max, hence the FrankenMech name. I will have to post pics of my Ranger pickup when I get it back together. I have a specialized mower I call FrankenMower that has an aluminum deck cut away in front to expose the blades. It is used as a brush mower to knock down the garden vegetation every year and an occasional telephone pole... -OOooopppss

Sorry for the loss of your feline companion. I'm an animal lover too. Our two dogs are both rescues, my chiuaua mix is my baby , we''ve had her for eight years now, I dread the day when she passes. The other dog is a miniature border collie, got her wjen she was six months or so old, shes almosy two now. I love the brush mower! I modded an old montgomery ward lawn tractor to be a brush tractor. Buily a front bumper that rolls into a belly pan covering the belts/pullies. I cot the leading edge of the 56 inch 3 blade deck so the blades are out. I had to shorten 3 longer blades to make them fit also had to reshape the cotter to fit on the shaft. That is one bad ass mower, I will try to find some pics of it, I kina killed it a few years ago, ripped the low gear reduction box out & got pissed & sold it for scrap, weighed 425 pounds! I love to build purpose built machines, bit nolonger have access to machhing tools. Chris

I am trying to get my machine tools up and running. I need a 15HP rotary phase converter and a new sub panel wired for my metal lathe. My mill and some other tools are waiting for me to get a decent door on the garage this spring which is waiting on getting my truck running... You know how things get. The brush mower was a $10 garage sale find. I own the FrankenMech.com domain name. Someday, I may post some pics up there.

More modifications added to the list 'above'.
I replaced the marine type squeeze primer bulb with an EMPI 12V electric solenoid pump hot wired through a fuse and switch to the red power lead at the starter. I did not want to overload the ignition switch. I have to remember to turn it OFF after I use it but it is only used for priming the system and as a backup. I also reconfigured the fuel line from the tank to use an inline filter and tucked the filter up in the belly pan under the fuel tank. I temporarily connected the electric pump to flush out the fuel tank and lines. Another filter is used to double clean the output of both pumps before it flows into the carb. The ON-OFF pump toggle switch is opposite the ATV primer bulb. The EMPI pump setup is working well so far. The check valves in the EMPI pump are robust. I routed the fuel line to the final filter upwards to keep some fuel from draining back out of the filter and away from the carb.
The PAIR flange was removed from the valve cover which freed up space to mount the EMPI pump back-to-back with the OEM pump. The mounting flanges were drilled out to take an 8mm bolt. The OEM 6mm 'fake 8.8' Chinese bolt was far too wimpy.
Placed a home made 25mm exhaust port gasket on the exhaust port since the OEM installation was missing a gasket.
I am looking for an externally adjustable carburetor to help with my tremor problem.
I installed a new license plate that reads 'MOTORIZED TRICYCLE' in a license plate frame that reads 'NUCLEAR POWERED'. The first person that read the plate fell for the nuke powered thing..... The Chinese license plates are smaller than the US plates so the attachment slots in the bracket had to be lengthened by about 1/8" on both ends. 1/4-20 clip nuts were used with SS screws to attach the plate and frame to the bracket.
A new 24 LED 'third brake' light bar has been installed under the rear tote on the luggage support frame to act as an additional brake light. The front white lights are really bright and good at night as long as there is no oncoming traffic.
A 2-1/2" exhaust tip was added to the muffler with some 1/4" hardware cloth rolled inside to further reduce noise emissions. The catalytic converter did a lot of the muffling in the OEM installation. -Thanks Upgrayedd! I may stuff more filler into it as time goes on.

I added a Trail Tech tach alongside the other tach. They both show similar readings but the TT unit updates faster and smoother. They both tend to get confused at times. I picked up a 1/4"drive swivel head ratchet #96781 with a green handle on sale from Harbor Freight. www.harborfreight.com/1-4-quarter-inch-quick-release-swivel-head-ratchet-96781.htmlI use it with a 4" wobble extension. It is really a great tool for working on scoots. I love mine. My main engine ground strap failed and has been replaced with a good one and a second strap. The main frame ground has been modified to be a stud with a nut for the ring terminals. The rear SMD LED light was replaced with a unit from the parts store so the LED 'third' brake light works properly. The OEM fuel pump has had the vacuum port connected with a right angle vacuum fitting to prevent line kinks. The Externally adjustable aux jet for the carb has arrived. $31 'Power Jet' with shipping from www.vitosperformance.com

You have to do a write up on installing that external jet. Looks like a good item.
