The OD of the inlet is 44mm and ID is 39mm(air filter side). the od of the outlet side is 30mm with 23mm id(side of carb that hooks to intake) I guess it is possible it could be 24mm I would have to take another measurement. It is a big old school flatslide mikuni with a sudco sticker o. The float bowl. It was really dirty but some carb cleaner and a brass brush cleaned it up real nice. The jet that came in it says 130 on main but looks small. I will have to measure the hole. It was attached to the 1992 jog that I bought for $100. The bike had a bbk polini and stock crank that had the threads broken off. The engine was in really rough shape! But I got the intake and cab off of it. Hope I can get this carb dialed in for this motor

Is a 130 mikuni jet the same size as a dellorto jet I'd ? I have a 24mm mikuni with 130 main but the hole looks small. It also came with a 15 piolet jet. Where should I start? With the 130 it is very rich, making tons of smoke wont rev

since I have that clear intake tube on my intake I can see the fuel going into the engine it looks like it is pouring into there I think maybe I'm missing an emulsion tube I'm going to have to take the carb apart and look at a parts diagram is it is just pouring fuel in. because I don't recall seeing one when I clean the carb

Hope you get that big ole' miki to work for you. Realy hope you are as thrilled with your build as I am with mine. That polini kit turned out to be a beast, hope the miki winds up the same. Chris

65 for a 52mm and 20 for a 47mm or 54mm. They do have 52mm single ring pistons Sent from my SPH-L720 using proboards

There used to be a guy on eBay selling custom made heads, but I don't see them right now. It's not worth $65, prob plus shipping.

Wouldn't a single ring piston wear faster? I want longevity with performance. I know its a trade off but I don't think a single ring is for me

Have you seen the 52mm performance cylinder kit on there? it is $165 bucks, wonder what it consist of? If it is a complete top end seems that would be the way to go...

A 47mm head can be made into a 52mm with a little effort..A lathe makes it easy, but a drill press laid sideways or even an electric drill in a vice will do!Chuck up a plug carefully and screw on the head, mark the head to the 52mm OD,spin it slowly, with a carbide cutter in the Dremel ease the chamber out to the 52mm mark..Then polish with sand paper to work out the tool marks. Here is one I did on the lathe,a few drag trophies were won with it!

Excellent advice 190, thank you!
moofus please post link if you get a chance. If it is that cheap with the head I will likely run it while I work this 52mm out. Thank you for all the help guys. I might just shave the stock head down a bit and mill that lump out of it for squish type
