So I have 6.5 sliders now. Take off is good but not wheelie popping unless I time the throttle just right. I can hit 60 at about 9500 rpm then creep up to 65. I am thinking a few grams lighter on rollers but what i will help me gear out quicker to reach to speed quicker? It might help if I had stiffer than 1k clutch springs. Td and contra mods have been made.guess this is where I go into trail and error. It pulls hard all the way to where it start to gear out then takes a bit to get to top speed. My belt still isnt all the way down in the front pulley. I need to make washers. But I am worried the front wont close enough then. Then I could use wider belt but the problem starts over..

I would prob try adding some spacing to the drive boss before messing with the clutch. It may run oiut of gear more quickly, but sometimes you can get a gain on bottom end with no loss. Hard to know unless you try it. I know some don't like trial and error methods, but for me things get figured out in less time usually by seeing what works rather than trying to figure it out on paper. I'm not saying I'm good at it by any means, but I've spent too much time messing with CVTs and I've seen that still things don't go how I think they will. Too many variables from one setup to the next. Slight changes make big differences sometimes and occasionally big changes make little difference. Sometimes when you add spacing RPM will jump up, but you can drop it down with slight roller weight increase and end up in a better place. You can drill the clutch shoes to lighten them. One bad thing there is too light and you can't go back easily like switching springs. Takes a while, but don't make huge jumps if you try it. At least you could back off to stock springs should it be a little too much. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/thread/359/lightening-stock-clutch

Took the cvt off and all guide's are broken. Was running perfect, weird . I haven't even put any washers on ot yet for cvt to slide over. I do have a large washer on the side by the seal after the boss that goes on crank next to seal. Not good, dont know why they are broken. I used a washer back there, guess I should move it to the front side. Dont know that it will make a difference as far as the guides go.

Haha took my wife for a ride the store last night on my 90. That is 300# with both of us on there, thing still pulled hard! We barley fit by she said man that thing is a rush! Told her she should ride it alone! You know the polaris sportsman 90cc is capable of towing 800# ?

Now you know why I like them so much. I weigh as much as you and your wife combined and the 70s don't pull like the 90. They can go hard when they're at peak, but the 90s have so much more grunt across a wide range. My 90cc Venus would pull away from stop signs at 4000RPM and get the front light. My 70s might go just as fast up top, but if I asked them to operate at 4000RPM I'd be using my feet to get moving.

What do u think the weight limit is for a yamaha jog? I read through the Manuel and didnt see it. Do you think 300# is too much weight? Just wondering if its safe to cruise on for me and the wife

I think you'd be okay as long as your not bouncing of curbs. Give yourself a little more stopping distance. My wife won't get on mine and that's fine. I tried to get her a scoot but she says she's to clumsy. And you know I tend to agree. Lol!

Being someone that pushes weight limits, I've noticed them over the years on various little 2 wheelers. Can't say I know what a Jog's is, but 200-350lb is about the range they hover in with the majority of 50-150s that I recall being 250-300lb according to seller specs. My TaoTao says 225# on the manufacturer's site and I've got nearly 3000 miles on it at 300lbs. The only real issue I had is breaking the seat bucket (just happened so you can see the Project TaoTao thread if you'd like for pics). Depends on the quality and design if it's gonna be a problem in the near future. I've had as much as 420-430lb on my Triton with a passenger, but only for 20 miles or so.

I tried hooking up a mechanical fuel pump I had from an old tao. I ran the vacuum line to the intake nipple on the intake. No luck, it wont work. Should it work? I assume there is pulsing going on there. It works when I put my mouth on the hose (no jokes please) and suck and blow. Any advise? I guess I am just going to put a shut off on it as I am sick of it leaking gas when leaning on the kick stand
