Had something similar on my Vento zip. You could probably use the rubber piece from one of them. Partsforchinesescooters sells them for $12.00.

What's the difference in the gears? If I had both sets I would so have to try them both and compare.

new scoot came with this intake. i guess i will be using it with the carb that acme with it. The rubber that connects the carb and intake is dry rotted. I will have to make a new one out of some rubber. Does anyone have any experience with this intake? Since i dont have a stck one this will suffice i auppose. Yes..it is a Polini performance intake. Same as the rubber Jog ones..only aluminum and ported/polished inside. The rear facing intake boot for a Minarelli may fit it but most likely it is not for the stock 19mm carb..it is for the 21-23mm ones. Either way..measure it and they can be found cheaply on fleabay and parts sites. Looks something like this.. www.partsforscooters.com/161-84Also I have seen folks make them from rubber hose they got at the hardware store. The only problem with using hose is that it is not as thick and rigid..so the carb sags and must be supported. So screw that..just buy the right piece.. Glenn

i dont know, i do 53mph at 9500 rpm on a tire with 49inch circumfrance. I will likely use the atv gears as i wont have to switch any bearings. if they suck i will do something different. What ratio are the stock Jog gears?

My exhaust duration is 182 and trans are around 130 something with just a base gasket and a 43.5 stroke with 52 mm stock jug. Do you measure one you can no longer see light coming through the exhaust or once the crown covers the exhaust? Because you can still see light for a few degrees after the crown passes I assume u till the rings pass the exhaust. Where do I measure from? I am 180-184 depending if I count when the crown passes because I am shining a light through the exhaust and can still see light untill the rings get past exhaust. Some insight please? Thanks guys

Ok I need help figuring out what to do about port timing. My exhaust is 178 and transfers are 125. Any ideas? I have 43.5 stroke and 52 mm bore with one gasket. Do I need to work the ports or make a spacer? Would a spacer change anything?

Or would this timings be okay with stock pipe?

That'll prob work pretty well with a stock pipe, but you could likely get more out of it with a spacer or other work. If you just space it up, remember you're going to drop compression unless you mod the head or change your head gasket thickness. You'll want more timing with a performance pipe to get the most out of it. Lots of info about porting, spacing, and what worked in the Project 90 thread. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/post/30179/thread

I read about taking some off the edges of the piston. I might do that for now and let it go for now with stock pipe. When I can afford a better pipe I will get a new cylinder also. The polaris case is missing the carrier for the bearing that holds the big sprocket for the starter. I have a spare engine but I don't think it will come off without destruction.

Your talking about the big center that the starter clutch rides on? That steel piece they take off lots of times when they install an overrange tranny. I've seen them for a few bucks but can't remember where right now
