Got the new head on definitely has more torque but wont rev past half throttle. Still pulls the wheel up from easy take off. I think some jetting and ill be good.my port timing is 180 exhaust and 123 transfers. I took a bit of material off of the crown to give more duration so the numbers might be a bit higher than that. Hopefully tonight or early am tomorrow I can play with jets

The cylinder is so big/long I had to cut part of to floor board out to access the spark plug. The compression is now at 175psi. It revs quick when setting still, haha. The plug actually has fuel on it, wet. Im running a 95 main. Guess next step is a 90main

Sounds like progress. That is some good compression.

Went from a 95 to a 90 and man that thing came to life! Its hard to keep the front wheel on the ground! Im still running stock springs on my clutch shoes, but I did drill into the and took some weight off. I have some 1000 rpm springs I might swap in the future. It pulls hard from start to top end. I haven't maxed it out yet but the power band is very broad. I am very satisfied so far still some kinks to work out. I have to fix the rear cable bracket. I made it good but didn't take into account it needs to be farther over towards the wheel. The cable that comes out the back is very crooked making it bind a bit. Also keeps squirting out Gear oil I assume I over filled it. Would it be quicker with smaller gears ? I think maybe 10-1 because with the atv gears my clutch rotates 8 times to 1 wheel turn. I think that is Better for top speed? The power is exactly what I was looking for highly recommended swap! I also assume I could get more power with about 1 mm spacer for more duration. But as it sits its good. Maybe when I get used to it I will look for more.I have a video of the first decent run, waiting for it to upload

And it definitely needs a make over. First I had to get it running good.

8 to 1 and you can't keep the front wheel down. Wow! Sorry I don't remember but what has been done to the engine?

Not much, I did a bit of work to the cases. Matched the cases to cylinder cleared a good path for intake mild trench. Set port timings for 184 and transfers at 124 or so. I checked the timing without spacer under cylinder and it was close to my target range. Then I took a bit off the edges of piston for a bit more duration. It revs really quick and I think when I put the new shoe springs in it it will launch really hard. 24mm flat slide mikuni carb, polini intake carbon reeds on stock cage.stock polaris 52mm cylinder with custom head. I took the dount out and make squish style head and milled down the mating surface are for higher compression. 43.5 hoca stuffer crank and technigas 100cc pipe. I wanted to run a reed spacer under reed block but the carb wouldn't fit in the frame with spacer.

Sounds like it's paying off. I guess your feeling better about it now. Faster than your 70? Obviously loads more torque.
