Since it's doing wheelies I dunno that it'll pay off to swap to different gears. The 10:1s would probably just make it so it won't stay down at launch and then higher revs and less top end potential. Just a guess, never tried the ATV gears in mine. I swapped from 10:1 to 13.5:1 on a long case with plenty of power and it was better right off the line for a few feet and then it just annoyed me because I lost so much speed. The 50cc gears in the 90cc swap may be better suited to fat guys like me because you and sitticuss seem to be doing great with the long gears.

Yes, it is faster than the 70 in every way from any speed. However, it still mace out and the same speed! Right around 52 mph, I dont get it. Even with the taller gear ratios u would think it would top out faster. Max rpm is right around 9800. I dont know if I am using all the travel on my cvt as I have not tuned it yet.

I don't get that. Must be cvt. Guess you can mark the vari and find out. I'd think you should be 60+ @ 9800.

I am using a gps for speed and a tto for rpm. I haven't got to take it on to far of a ride, just around a few neighborhoods. It is way louder then the 70 and a bit intimidating. Scooters are not ment to be this fast, lol. I dont see it being able to do a rolling burn out unless I had a dry rotted tire on it. At 10000rpm it sounds like it is going to explode or something catastrophic is going to happen. I just have to get used to it I think.

I hear you. Best to take it easy and get a feel for it. That's a lot of power on those little tires. I'm working on getting a 90 motor to do a build on and trying to get an idea or two. I really like my 70 setup and still have some performance mods planned but I have this image of a black retro 103+ next to it. Oh my wife will be pissed.

What would you guys assume one of these puts out horsepower/torque wise? I am think around 15-20hp. I cant wait to catch a stop light with another scoot. Muhahahahh

Yeah he is a trip, haha. He has ridden my 70 a few times and rides the taotao all the time around the neighborhood following me. I keep him on the 70 in parking lots. He has experience on a ktm 50 so he isn't a total noob. Hopefully in the future we can race on a closed course. I just dont want him to get hurt.

I've said it before. I wish I started riding young. Had a friend with a yz80 when I was 15 but didn't spend enough time on it to really learn a lot. It's easier when your young, limber and fearless. Now things like medical bills and missed work pop in my mind. Lol.

Thansk, it was a lot of patience but worth the wait. There were times I doubted what I was doing but trusted it from others experience here. Lol! The fart huffer almost bit it! But really that thing launches! Nice work! Keep that helmet tight. Fart knocker. Lol

I just now watched the video lol. The commentary was great but seriously that thing lifted the wheel and you had to get out of it with that tall of a great. It sounds great

It will probably be fine with those gears. The Jogs are so small and light they dont seem to mind them like the long case bigger scoots would. Good work man! Nice to see another scoot pulling the wheel without yanking on it! Ide guess you have between 10-15HP but i am no pro and it is harder to tell on vid. A friend built and dynoed his engine to around 15HP and ran low 10,s and i know could have ran into the 9,s if not for some troubles. And this was on a much heavier scoot! What vari/CVT are you running. Any exhaust port work done? Since it is so light and it hits so hard off idle you could take advantage of the stroker torque and raise the duration even more.. If you feel like it check your duration again and shoot for 185/135. Another base gasket helps. Hopefully you dont loose much squish? If so pull the head gasket and seal with some good stuff. I use locktights 5920 and let it set overnight. Another tip is to match the piston to the cylinder well like in these pics. You can also open up the scallop to match the boost port and trim any cylinder skirt the is in the way. Sorry for the bad pics.. Of course matching all gaskets surfaces help a ton! It all adds up! That ole beater cylinder pictured has run into the low 9,s on a heavy scoot. I know its got 8,s in it, its a big step! I love that lil Jog man! Keep it up!
