****Current Top Speed - 77mph GPS Verified**** (5/5/14)Heres my setup: 172cc GY6 (61mm BBK) A9 Cam 24mm Carb (118main/aftermarket needle/choke delete) New Racing CDI Open air filter free flow exhaust 115mm Variator 9.5g Dr.Pulley sliders Yellow Tq spring K&S Clutch I bought the Scooter as a partially complete project from another rider. He Stretched it and lowered it as well as did a few of the upgrades...after going through the whole bike and re-doing most of the work(including a TON of electrical) I am happy to say this thing is AWESOME! I am still dialing in the CVT but so far the top speed on flat level ground with no tail-wind is 72.6mph (GPS Verified) I expect to see a little more after a few more tweaks...but my real goal is to make this thing rocket from a stop...Im a drag racer at heart.....anyway....here she is!

Very nice. How close to the S9 in a drag race?

Thats cool.
Does the towering and stretching affect stability?

It is cool! Like the stretch, no overkill. I have the same scoot with pretty much the same set-up I am looking forward to finishing this spring

Thats cool. Does the towering and stretching affect stability? its actually more stable in a straigh line.....but slow speed cornering is where you really feel the extra length.......its totally acceptable to me though.

Nothing really... Its a pile of parts leaning against the wall Engine is built but not installed.. Its a 172, crank, head, cam, etc. I really need to get back on it soon. I put it off last fall to drag race other scoots.

Sounds good! Might not hurt to mark the pullies with a sharpie or something to check for full belt travel.

I also noticed it has an 835mm belt....I think the general consensus is that a 842mm gets more travel from the CVT. Might give it a try if im not seeing full travel.

Good thing for me to note, thanks! First fourpoke build so its going to be interesting when I finally get to it. I was looking at it more yesterday and I need a filter for the carb, complete exhaust, or at least a good header and I can make my own from there. And whatever ods an ins I run into while putting the boat back together. Its been down for a couple years and the tank was rusty when I got it Good thing parts are cheap!
