Nice editing job! How much longer will it be cold where you live? It's been getting hot in my little part of the world and I'm jealous of your cool weather!

It was waaay too cold for that time of the year during that weekend. That was kinda a bummer. It should be around 70 (fahrenheid) but during this weekend it was 50...at least we had lots of sun.

Really beautiful where you live. Nice and colorful. Love the moped path that you guys are able to take advantage of. Hey, you get thirsty riding a scooter long distances!

Okay my variator and/or cooling fin is now seriously wearing (worn) out. When the engine is fully warmed up the rpm's won't go over 8K anymore lol! Accelerating from a standstill is good but when coming on speed the rpm's keep dropping until 8k and they will stay there no matter how much throttle. Yeah I guess the old speedcontrol is done for after 4 years and 8000+km's. I'm having another problem since a few days. High and unstable idle, Im thinking an airleak somewhere. Probably a crank seal blown out or something. Can't imagine the reeds or cases leaking unless bolts are rattled out...but thats highly unlikely. So I need to find some time these days to do some checks and start orientating on a new variator. I have some variators in mind: - Polini Evo R02, thanks to Tsimi - Stage 6 overrange - Doppler S2BR/Artek K2 - MHR Overrange Also gonna try the Stage 6 overrange belt. Should just work with the 122mm rear pulley i'm running.

My Volvo is also due for some big maintenance which is also $$$. Im taking it to Russia tis summer so that has priority now. Mehhh, being a student with a student budget makes setting priorities too important

This is what I found big tear that on is done The sliders are worn out and the ramp plate already was hitting the variator. This one made me laugh a bit. Note the comment in one of my previous posts above, saying it's quite unlikely that someting has rattled loose... And i torqued to 11nm and a retorque after warm up. This yet again proves that you can't assume something is still okay after you specificly checked it. Now i know where that airleak is coming from. I new it couldn't be just that seal leaking a little bit...it had to be something more severe so I took the air shroud off and found this.

Wow! lucky that didn't have you pushing instead of riding. Yeah! Thats what I was thinking too!! The belt could break and the cylinder could seize!

How many miles did you have on that CVT since you last open the cover? Lol! I am also guilty of riding it until something almost breaks!
