How many miles did you have on that CVT since you last open the cover? Lol! I am also guilty of riding it until something almost breaks! I think about 3000km's...? I did a quick check before the Aachen EU trip a month ago but besides that I haven't checked anything after I had prepared the scoot for the Dijon trip back in June 2015.

Tonight im gonna take the cylinder off. Im really curious how the liner and the combustion chamber looks inside. I think pretty good actually, but still...very curious. I'll leave some pics here when I have it off.

How has the liner held up after all those miles (km). Plating still intact?

How has the liner held up after all those miles (km). Plating still intact? The liner/plating still looks like New! The crosshatching is still visible. Same goes for Piston and ring Gap is still well within spec! Thuis thing doesn't wear really hard luckily. Actually pretty cool having a very quick and reliable scoot. I had some serieus doubts about the warped skirt problemen I ran into before the France roadtrip in 2015. Up untill now No problems yet

Holy carbon! I haven't pulled my cylinder off in a few thousand miles. Pretty sure it needs some rings, but mine doesn't see the rpms your does. Looks like there is plenty of life left there!

Im pretty sure I can put another 3000kms on this cylinder kit without seeing any excessive wear. I might take the cilinder and piston to an engine builder to have clearances checked. So I can keep a track record when I pull the piston next time.

Didn't really do anything with the axis lately but a buddy and me planned another roadtrip the 7th of august. So the thing should be running by then.
It's my buddy and me, he's riding a custom puch maxi with some nice goodies and im taking the axis or maybe 'je moeder' if i find time and motivation to get it back on the road.
Anyways we're planning to go to the Nordreihn Westphalen region in Germany and down through the north of Luxembourg and back to Holland through Belgium.
Visiting old German castles, drinking lots of German beers visiting WW2 settlements and stuff in the Ardennes and ride countless steep and curvy mountain roads!

That seriously sounds like fun. Out on the road in beautiful countryside for a couple days and not a carie in the world. So jealous.
