Got stomped by another scoot tonight.

A friend came over and fired his 150 up to ride with me tonight. I took the SunL, just because I've been enjoying the savings in fuel/oil cost vs the 2 stroke Venus. Nearing the end of our ride, a kid pulled up next to us at a stop sign. He said, "Hey, you wanna race?". "Sure", I said. We were turning right, so as I pull out he says, "I just got it today". Anyone that's ever street raced would think, "oh crap" at that point. Everyone always says their stuff is slow or they have a smaller engine, or it's stock, etc... when you race. It was a small 2T with a stock exhaust. I figured, he probably had a big bore kit or something.

So anyway, rather than line up and go from a dead stop he kinda goes without us. (For some reason every scooter I've ever raced, other than friends, does that?) He left me pretty bad. My friend on the 150 caught up to him and sat beside him for a sec, then pulled away. He slowed down, got beside me and laughed at me, and then turned around and took off in the opposite direction.

I love to race, but man that bugged me that I lost to another scoot and he laughed at me. lol 100lb kid wants to race a 300lb man on a 4 stroke. Of course you'll win. I like racing and respect the work others do to cars, bikes, scoots, whatever. What I dislike is someone that does it to think they are the shtuff and only likes to race when they win. I am very easy going, and I literally yelled at my friend Bob and called him a bitch when he wouldn't race me one day he thought he might lose after he promised to run me on his scooter. I was ready to fight. It's really weird how into racing I get sometimes, I'll admit that. I just wanna have some fun, and if you screw that up... :bfg:

Hopefully this fellow noticed the giant 49ccScoot.Com stickers and he'll visit us one day. If you are out there somewhere, find me again when I'm on any of my other three scooters and we'll try it again. ;D I knew I shoulda took the Venus instead. I guess I'll have to look into that nitrous kit for the SunL, just incase. lol

"IntraVenus" ? lol I'll prob find him again and get whooped again. Nearly 200lbs of weight is A LOT to make up for. I've done it before though, so who knows. I'd like to have another go. You can bet I'll be cruising the area I saw him in with the Venus, prob after the 90cc just to be mean, and T2 when it's back.

I was thinking about it. Here's my problem with nitrous on a scooter...

A dry shot is cheap and easy. It's con is that you sacrifice all the time performance by jetting rich and backing out timing so it runs well on the nitrous.

A wet shot with a fuel pump and solenoids is what I really want. Ideally a small separate tank with a little race fuel so the timing may not even have to back out too bad. The big con of this being money. Also, I can spray the SunL all I want, it will never be a 103cc 2 stroke.

Before someone says it, no I'm not spraying one of the big 2Ts. I think there are enough issues there without me introducing more potential failures. Maybe someday on a top end I don't care about, who knows?

Oh and my final issue with nitrous in general... it runs out. The biggest reason I chose turbo as a power adder for my car was the thought of my power running out on me when I needed it sometime. I figure that one time I get a good race, the bottle will be empty.

What about rigging the enrichener circuit to work with the dry shot?

That would be interesting. Wonder if it would do enough for WOT and nitrous? If not, I'm sure it could be modded, but then it would be useless if needed for starting.

One option could be rigging a carb for the NOS and putting it on when you go out looking for a race.

I'm always looking for a race for the most part. Even when I know I'll lose, if the opportunity is there I take it. lol

My vote is for the "Venus Vanishment" just don't forget to buy the kid a ice-E-pop as so to cool off his bruised ego.
But one thang to thank about is that he might have won that race, but when his scooter brakes down.. will he be able to fix it? humm.
