I bought three new tires for mine. My front obviously has too much toe-in. The fronts are half worn after 2000km. I figure I will replace the two fronts and save those as spares for the rear with a spare for the front for now. The new tires should fit on the rear also but one never knows when they are math challenged trying to read a tape measure. The tires were cheap at $34 each, no tax and only $6.50 FedEx shipping. www.midlandhardware.com/155306.htmlI was trying to figure out how to run all the way down to Tractor Supply in Olathe on the SW side of the metro for a pair at $40 each with about 10% tax. I missed their $35 sale price. I am glad I found this Midland Hardware place over in Grandview. Grandview is way over on the SE side of the metro. I will let you know what they look like when they arrive 2-3oz of BB's each will do fine to balance them. I have so much work to do but I am still having hand difficulties. I must be getting too old and don't get any of that hand exercise you younger guys do. I got enough to almost go blind but not anymore. Remember to always switch hands or you will get a lopsided look or 'Tennis' Elbow...

I want a tire with some carbon black or urethane in it so they won't wear out in 5000km. Bias ply tires are fine.

oh i see so you dont like soft compounds that stick to the road. i used to like hard wearing tireshttp://what-when-how.com/automobile/tyre-construction-automobile/ when i was young. But i find it easier to get to grips with directional tires quality brands and have confidence as they are designed to go faster than my scoot will ever go
Scroll down a bit and you may see its not your toe in

Nearly died on mine today :/ Dont do that!! Some Ahole in a small truck decides my 50mph is not moving fast enough for his liking so he uses the space between myself (center-left of my lane) and the slower car to my right (right lane) as his own personal lane and blows between us at 60 in a 40! Im already running 10 over!!! So the guy turns down my road, I follow him and refrain from bashing his skull in with my helmet; I followed him home, pictured his plate and called the cops. .... still debating on bashing his head in :\ Moral of the story: dont drive like a douche and dont piss off a sasquatch

Cops won't do anything if they didn't see it generally. Some gung-ho officers will, but it would likely get dismissed in traffic court anyway. I called once for a guy trying to run me into traffic (I went to pass and he floored it when there was a car coming) with a tag number and another time I went directly to the state police barracks with tag numbers and descriptions after 2 trucks full of idiots threw something at a car and hit it and then tried to run my father and I off the road. Even with all the stuff the 2 truckloads did all we got was basically "we'll let officers in the area know and if we see them doing anything wrong we'll pull them over. give us your info if there's damage to your car.". Well they would have pulled them over if they saw them doing anything wrong anyway, so essentially they just told us they weren't going to do anything about it. Now if I do something stupid on the other hand, cops show up at my house or pull me over. I've had officers here a couple of times over crap they never saw. One gave me tickets strictly on what he was told, the other basically realized I had pissed off a county commissioner's daughter and Sheriff services were being misused by the commissioner. Another time I had 2-3 state troopers waiting for me after I was reported speeding and weaving through traffic. After having multiple cops take the time to setup and wait for me all they did was a warning for reckless driving because they didn't know my speed. Another time I had a city cop waiting for me after being reported for racing with another car on the highway with an off duty city cop somewhere behind me. I told the female officer that it was a car load of girls and I had to do it and she laughed and let me go though.

I got a new TaoTao 150cc scoot in the shop for some new weights and an airbox mod. My son and I went out last night to get a baseline test. He was on my Cobra and I on the TaoTao. My Cobra beats the snot outta this 150cc no problem from and speed. A roll, a dig.. 30MPH was nothing for my "Truck" to embarrass the fourpoke. I tried a steady 40MPH roll race and it was closer but still no cigar. All that TaoTao did while i rode it was make me miss and like my Kymco Cobra even more . A friend bought the TaoTao brand new local for a very hefty fee. They charged him extra for a "de-restricted" CDI and something else but i cannot remember now. I do know the bill was over $200 for what seems like nothing at all?.. Im not even sure the CDI was restricted any? They said the removed the airbox restrictions but nope. I reached down and pulled one out right there on the spot without any tools. The scoot responded well too! We didnt do any more tests but i took it up and down the street and could feel a change right off idle. I think with some weights and airbox mod it will outrun my Cobra or run right with it? It should anyway.. Other than not beating my work truck in a race it really run pretty good. Ive found theres nothing like real world in your face tests and results to convince a person their scoot needs work. When you can take your 49cc based street scoot and beat the 150cc in every way but displacement and maybe MPG? the owner would be silly not to listen to whoever built and tuned the smaller engine scoot. Another thing i noticed while riding the TaoTao is the front end seems to "wonder" or "float" around while cruising a steady speed in a straight line.. I need to check tire pressure to see if its got too much PSI? Other than that i dont know what would cause it? It might just be the way its built? Looks like theres not much rake in the front end but i never actually checked?

I got some of the first radial tires available in the US many years ago and loved them. I am fine with my experiment though. I think my present tires are bias ply but I have no idea what angle. I don't go fast on my grocery cart anyway. I am too chicken-shit and old to lay the scoot over much in turns. 6 months ago I could not even turn right at all. I take things slow and easy like an elderly frail old derelict with diabetes should. If I every crash at speed or get hit I am done for anyway. My rear tire is wearing evenly and doing OK. The fronts are just scrubbing away. The new tires may even get here today, otherwise it will be after the holiday. I still have to get my hands and brain to function well enough to get them installed. I am not doing well at all with that. I had another asshat try to kill me a few weeks ago. Take care out there. We Neanderthals used to live side by side with the Sasquatch until them crazy Humans messed us both up.

Sorry Frank thought i was quoting the post above. I have been diagnosed as Glucose intolerant thats early stages of Diabetes and they tested my blood every month. I wanted to test my own blood but they wouldnt give me a prescription for the test kit till I was diagnosed as diabetic. I know a guy who had 10 blood test kits and I swapped a big old TV for one of his test kits. The doctor told me I no longer register on the Diabetes Scale. I have been eating heaps kiwi fruit and drinking heaps of store bought water to lower my blood pressure. My blood pressure didnt come down but i am off the Diabetes scale. I wear cut up tights as circulation in my leg that was broke is bad but I am working on that

I started making an intake spacer out if an old stock reed block. Man that stuff smells toxic when cutting and sanding on it. Thanks for the idea Brent. I noticed there is a pretty good overlap between the stock reed block and intake. I'll be using it on the new build with the Vforce 3 set that's on the bike and will look at matching it up when it comes time to put it together. Wish I had looked more closely at the Vforce when I put it on.
